Meghan King had a scary near-death experience and almost met her Maker on an airplane years ago. Now, she is recalling her "Hell of a scare."

The 38-year-old is best known for being a cast member on the Bravo reality show "The Real Housewives of Orange County" from 2015 to 2017. The former reality star has amassed quite an online community from her fame and never shies from sharing her life stories.

Meghan King Vividly Remembers Terrifying Flight To Houston

Over the weekend, the American socialite recalled a scary near-death experience on a turbulent airplane on Instagram. She shared a blurry image of herself on a plane wearing an oxygen mask with a pink neck compressor around her neck, sitting by the window seat.

In the accompanying caption, King opened up about her out-of-body experience during the flight. The "Say Yes to the Dress" star shared that she boarded a "Continental Airl[i]nes flight" twelve years ago that was later brought down in Alexandria, Louisiana, as opposed to Houston, the initial place of landing due to disturbance.

She explained, "My ears were popping abnormally [and] the oxygen came down. The pilot didn't explain, but the flight attendant started freaking out, screaming, "PUT YOUR MASKS ON. THIS IS NOT A DRILL! (Aren't they supposed to remain calm!? It was the opposite of calm)."

The TV personality talked about her reaction and others on the airplane, writing, "I texted my family I love them and got a little lightheaded from the adrenaline response in my body. The old man across the aisle was shaking so badly he couldn't put his mask on, so the flight attendant ran to him with her portable oxygen and feverishly applied his mask."

Still relating her unfortunate experience, the mother of three noted that "at 10000 feet, the pilot finally said, "You may remove your masks. We will be landing shortly in, um, Louisiana."

After landing safely, she explained that "firefighters rushed onto the plane," and firetrucks off the plane escorted them. "We were all shaken up and told there would be no flights until the next day - and that's all we ever found out about this incident. It wasn't on the news, no one asked questions, and no one gave an explanation.," she penned.

Finally, the Bravo star asked if "anything like this happened to anyone else out there." Such candidness made fans relate their dreadful experience with planes and flights underneath the post.

One fan wrote, "I remember the day this happened; my dad and brother are both Air Traffic Controllers in Alexandria at AEX. Glad it all ended well; you're loved so much for your honesty and fabulousness ❤️."

Another fan who had a similar experience wrote, "Yes, happened to my family on. United flight from South Carolina to Connecticut almost same details, no explanation when I called no "incident was reported," super scary."

Meghan King Looks Back On 'RHOC' Days In Candid Interview

King's revelation comes after she got candid about her time on "RHOC." The former Bravolebrity dished about leaving the Housewives franchise during an interview with Megan Ryte on an "IMPACT x NIGHTLINE" episode while shedding more light on the "highs and lows of reality TV."

When asked what it was like going from being followed by cameras to living away from television, the TV icon confessed, "It was like taking a drug away. Uh, I know that sounds rapid, but it's true."

The media personality later elucidated the strains associated with concentrating on your appearance and what it cost her personally to be on reality TV.

She shared, "I think being on reality TV made me more conscious of my image, and I don't think that's necessarily a good thing." King also took responsibility for all those that felt "unspoken pressure" to undergo the body changes, including being compelled to have a specific body, get Botox, fillers, extensions, or a boob job— as they watched her on TV. She admitted she was not proud of the standard she created for other women.

She was part of the Bravo show for three seasons, seasons 10 through 12, and was starting a family with her ex Jim Edmonds. King divulged that leaving "RHOC" required much thought at her exit. However, she had to do it because she struggled emotionally and physically during filming, especially as a new mother.
