Jimmie Allen Takes Responsibility For Affair In Public Apology To Wife

Jimmie Allen has released a public apology directed toward his estranged wife, Alexis Gale.

As if it was not enough for Alexis to file for divorce when they were expecting their third child together, things went further downhill in their relationship when Allen was hit with a sexual assault lawsuit. Amid all the trouble and media spotlight, the Country musician has taken full accountability for his actions while acknowledging his weaknesses.

The Grammy-nominated singer took to social media on Thursday to share a heartfelt statement dedicated to the mother of his children. The news comes in light of recent events, as the registered nurse had filed for divorce several weeks before the surfacing of the lawsuit.

It is worth noting that she is currently pregnant with their third child. In the restricted post, the award-winning star began his apology, writing:

"I want to publicly apologize to my wife Alexis for humiliating her with my affair. I'm embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. That's something that she did not deserve at all." 

The 37-year-old also had a few remorseful words for his kids, "I also want to apologize to my children for being a poor example of a man and a father. I'm working on becoming a better person my kids can be proud of. My goal is to be better than the generation before me."

In his statement, Allen acknowledged the challenges of the music industry, noting how it can drain and tempt individuals, potentially causing them to lose everything they have worked for. 

He expressed shame for not being strong enough to resist those temptations and declared that he refuses to be controlled by his weaknesses any longer. Closing his message, the country star urged others to seek assistance when needed, emphasizing the importance of embracing vulnerabilities and surrounding oneself with a supportive network.

It is, however, uncertain what fans think about the apology as the comments on the post were limited. The "Make Me Want To" singer's statement comes after allegations emerged in a recently filed lawsuit that he forcefully took the virginity of his former manager, identified as Jane Doe, during a work trip to Los Angeles in March 2021. 

According to the document, Jane Doe woke up naked in her hotel room after a business dinner, experiencing vaginal bleeding and severe pain, with no memory of the events that transpired. She further claimed that Allen insisted she takes a Plan B pill following the alleged incident to prevent pregnancy.

Recounting the traumatizing event, she stated, "I was disconnected from my body, feeling a sense of panic. He held me in place. At that point, any physical will was just out the door. I was pretty much paralyzed." 

She also included a disturbing list of additional instances where he allegedly subjected her to sexual abuse. These incidents reportedly involved repeated rape, groping, and even recording their sexual encounters without her consent.

In response to the allegations, the "Freedom Was a Highway" singer denied the claims against him. He shared a statement with PEOPLE that read:

"It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues, and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever."

He revealed that his relationship with the accuser was consensual and disclosed that the individual had attempted to extort money from him after their affair. 

Amidst their separation after three years, the 27-year-old shared delightful details about their upcoming bundle of joy. Despite the circumstances, The Blast reported that they are expecting their third child together, and the Delaware native revealed the baby's gender, with no presence of the "Best Shot" singer in sight.

Amidst the tumultuous events and heightened media focus surrounding her estranged husband, she found solace in celebrating Mother's Day with a heartfelt announcement. On her Instagram story, she shared a glimpse of a sonogram, unveiling the gender of their forthcoming bundle of joy.

Below the black and white snapshot, Gale expressed her happiness by captioning it with the words, "My baby boy," accompanied by a heart emoji. She concluded her message by extending Mother's Day wishes to everyone.
