Motherhood is something the brilliant Sharna Burgess takes joy in, and she never hesitates to let the world know by marking every milestone her baby boy Zane achieves.
One such milestone was their recent trip to her homeland Australia where her son marked a significant achievement, prompting the dance star to get all mushy as she shared the news on Instagram.
Sharna Burgess Says Sharing Her Love For Australia With Her Son Has Been 'Soul Food
Burgess, who shares Zane with boyfriend Brian Austin Green, is in no hurry to stop doting on her little boy. On Instagram, she uploaded a heartwarming video of herself and Zane rocking a green striped onesie on a beach in Australia.
The reel began with the 37-year-old squatting to her son's level and pointing upward, with her son imitating her before their fingers touched. She was later seen throwing Zane up in the air with a huge smile and kissing him on the cheek before displaying the tot playing with candy.
He popped the sweet into his mouth, prompting his mom to laugh, after which Burgess was shown hugging him to her chest and looking at him with so much love in her eyes.
Concluding the clip was a view of the mother and son duo walking on the beach with the dancer guiding her son as he took baby steps between her legs. Burgess was emotional in the caption as she disclosed how amazed Zane was amid the trip and the importance of sharing her love for the beach and Australia.
She began, "All the firsts – Watching him discover (eat) sand, the awe and wonder on his face as waves roll up to his feet and the excitement at watching them crash further out."
"My heart is full," the choreographer went on. "Sharing my love of Australia and the beach with him has been soul food for me." Although she appeared to be having fun with her son, she missed her partner Green with whom she looked forward to sharing memories alongside Zane and her stepkids.
Before urging her baby daddy to hurry up and head to her native land, she mentioned, "So much fun coming up to share, including Australia Zoo – koalas and wombats and crocodiles. OH MY."
Burgess then divulged in the conclusion that her child had been looking out now and again for his dad and step-siblings as he missed them. In her words, "Zane has moments throughout the day when he's looking around and gets mad. I know he's searching for you guys. I can't wait to see his face when you get here."
Such heartfelt words enamored many fans who took to the comments to adore the duo's sweetness. A follower partly exclaimed, "Zane is so lucky to have you as his mummy!" Another gushed, "I love how much he loves Australia!! How wonderful. Meant to be!!!" A third fan then noted "cute" Zane's striking resemblance with his dad.
Zane is growing up quickly, much to his mother's amazement, who reflected on the development in February via an Instagram update. The "DWTS" champ disclosed in her Story that the boy could feed himself without her assistance, making her express mixed feelings.
"My heart swelled and ached all at once. Time is a thief," she wrote before repeating similar words in another reel post, detailing her son's life over the years. She lamented, "Time is a thief, and I am a puddle."
The Australian Ballroom Dancer Opened Up About Co-parenting With Her Partner's Ex-wife
When the 37-year-old isn't gushing about her son's stunning achievements, she shares her blended family with the "BH90210" star.
Co-parenting Green's kids with his ex-wife Megan Fox has been great so far for Burgess, and she spoke candidly about it earlier this month on the "Not So Hollywood podcast.
Per The Blast, she commended the former partners' ability to place their kids above all else by focusing on them. She explained, "Nothing else needs to be considered other than making this a beautiful, healthy, whole environment for them."
The "DWTS Australia" judge later pointed out that while divorce could be hard on children, Green and his ex-wife had worked hard to make their co-parenting relationship positive and loving.
