Celebrities pray for and send their love to Jamie Foxx amid the actor's recent health scare.

The world had temporarily stopped on Wednesday, April 12, when his daughter, Corinne, shared in a statement that he had suffered a "medical complication" the day before. Luckily, the multi-hyphenate was on his way to recovery, as included in the update written on behalf of the Foxx family. Neither the 29-year-old actress nor other family members have shared no further details.

Even though there has been no word on the ailment that led to his hospitalization, multiple entertainment stars have expressed their support for Foxx. Leading the charge was actress Kerry Washington who shared a throwback photo that showed her resting her head on the "Day Shift" actor's chest.

The "Scandal" star had her eyes closed while Foxx looked at something away from the camera's view. "A [Jamie Foxx] appreciation post. Sending you all the love and prayers, my movie husband," Washington captioned the moment, referencing their on-screen marriage in the biopic of the beloved late singer, Ray Charles.

While the 46-year-old beauty played the role of Charles' second wife, Della Beatrice Howard Robinson, Foxx played the titular character. The pair also portrayed husband and wife in the 2012 drama "Django Unchained."

The "Little Fires Everywhere" actress was joined by Viola Davis, who also uploaded a classic pic of herself and the "Blame It" hitmaker beaming at the camera. For her caption, the "How To Get Away With Murder" lead told her buddy, "We need you…your light, your brilliance ❤️."

A third Instagram tribute came from Garcelle Beauvais, who appeared alongside the comedian on "The Jamie Foxx Show" from August 1996 to January 2001. The 56-year-old dropped a snapshot of her and her former co-star holding each other, along with the caption

"J I love you so much !!! I want & need you to get better soon ?????? sending you light love and prayers."

Over on Twitter, basketball legend LeBron James sent his "thoughts and prayers to the heavens above" to the "Strays" actor, adding, "Get well and back to yourself SOONER THAN LATER! God willing."

Martin Lawrence, who is presently filming the fourth installment of the fans' favorite "Bad Boyz," also took to Twitter to share an image of him and Foxx wearing coordinating black outfits, writing above:

"My family and I are lifting you up in prayer. Much love and many blessings my brotha ??."

Before celebrities began rallying behind the Critics' Choice Movie Awards winner, his fanbase had typed out supportive comments via Twitter, with one posting a screenshot of his daughter's statement. The netizen claimed their heart "nearly dropped" when they saw the post, stating they were praying for "Jamie Foxx and his family ??."

A second fan tweeted their gladness that the father-of-two was okay as he was the one celebrity they did not "play about." A third netizen expressed gratitude that the Oscar award-winning talent had not been denied "his flowers this whole time" because he "truly deserves them all."

"Omg Jamie, nooooo, I was just talking about you and your amazing show. Prayers out to Jamie Foxx," a fourth person tweeted. While everyone anxiously awaits more information on the R&B singer's health, it is worth noting that he has been busy working on the upcoming film, "Back In Action," which also features Cameron Diaz, Kyle Chandler, and Glenn Close.

The highly anticipated Netflix project marks Diaz's first big-screen project since she portrayed Miss Hannigan in the 2014 "Annie" remake, which also starred Foxx. The twosome also worked opposite in the 1999 film, "Any Given Sunday." As for the statement the family used in announcing the health crisis, The Blast noted that they penned:

"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time." 

Although the comment section on the Instagram post was disabled, it received nearly 27k likes from Corrine's followers.
