Corn Kid Tries Some Unique Foods With Drew Barrymore!

Who do you ask to taste test unique foods if you want an honest opinion? Corn Kid, of course!

Tariq, otherwise known as Corn Kid, visited "The Drew Barrymore Show" once again to try some interesting food options. The 7-year-old has been on the show in the past trying out some corn flavored foods, but this time no corn was involved.

While introducing the corn-loving child back to the show as a guest once again and saying he's "one of our favorite people on the planet," Barrymore added in a corn pun to the delight of Tariq. "It might be corny to say, but we think he's a-maze-ing. Oh yeah, I did it," Barrymore said, as she introduced Tariq.

During a "Food News" segment, Barrymore, Tariq and Ross Mathews tried out a popular TikTok snack - ice cream in a fruit roll-up. "All you gotta do is put the frosty sweet in the middle of the fruity snack and roll," Barrymore explained before the trio of friends gave the frozen treat a try.

Tariq took a small bite of the interesting snack and based on his reaction while chewing, he wasn't too impressed. He said, "I like the roll-up but not this," pointing to the ice cream in the middle. Barrymore said it wasn't bad and Mathews offered, "I kind of just prefer an old school cone, right?"

Later in the show, Tariq tried another food, but this time with Barrymore and recipe developer Ronnie Woo. This taste test went quite differently than the last.

Barrymore announced the unique food the three were about to try as "ranch ice cream." "Ranch dressing, ice cream, they had a baby and now we're gonna try it," Barrymore said.

As soon as Tariq tried a little bit of the odd flavored ice cream, his face said it all. He simply couldn't contain the confusion and possibly anger over the ranch flavored ice cream.

As he shook his head no and placed the cup of ice cream down on the counter, he said, "I'm sorry, but I have to give this," and he did two thumbs down with a disgusted look on his face. He then needed some water to flush the taste a bit.

"I think that it's interesting. It goes into your mouth and tastes like vanilla," Barrymore said. "And then before you know it, you're in Hidden Valley. And it's just a big left turn." Woo agreed with Barrymore's thoughts on the odd flavor.

While Tariq didn't care for the ranch flavored ice cream, he did have a possible solution to making it slightly better. He added bacon to his cup of ice cream as Woo hilariously pointed out, "So we're just basically trying to cover it with so much bacon that you cannot taste what's underneath it."

He then added some cheese to his ice cream and bacon creation. Woo then asked if Tariq likes cilantro and after he said he's never had any, he gave it a try. It didn't take long for him to decide that he likes cilantro.

After adding more interesting food items to the ranch ice cream, Tariq was done creating the new dish but didn't want to try it out (and not many could blame him.)

Back in September, Barrymore had corntastic Tariq on the show to try out a corn-flavored soda and baby corn, two things he's never tried before. But his intense love of corn-on-the-cob didn't help him to like the soda or baby corn.

Being a good sport, Tariq tried out some other veggies to give his thoughts on them.

Tariq's wild corn-amazing ride began last summer when he was interviewed by Recess Therapy in a New York City park while eating some corn-on-the-cob. The interview quickly went viral and things haven't slowed down much for Tariq who's been enjoying a corn-filled adventure ever since.
