Chanen and Juwan Johnson recently announced the exciting news that they are expecting a baby girl.
A few weeks ago, the couple had a gender reveal party with both of their families in Virginia, which happened to be the first time both families were together since the couple got married. Chanen shared a video on TikTok telling her gender reveal party story and their thoughts on finding out they are having a girl.
Chanen And Juwan Johnson Are Having A Baby Girl!
“I truly can’t put into words how excited I am. Juwan and I secretly wanted a girl this whole time,” she began her video. “We’re obviously gonna be happy with anything. We are just happy to be able to give birth to a beautiful baby.”
The couple flew to Virginia for the gender reveal party with both families, because that was sort of a middle ground for everyone to be able to come together for the exciting celebration. “We were so excited because one, we got to find out the gender of our baby and two, it was the first time that our families actually met, like actually got together as a group, literally since we got married,” she explained. “We got married in 2020 so obviously everything was super shut down.”
She continued to explain that they’ve never done anything big for themselves, so the entire experience was very exciting for them both. “We’ve never had a wedding, or like, any of the things that come with like, big to do events in life,” she said. “This is the first time that we’ve had, like, people get together for us, and it was like kind of a big deal.”
The past year was tough for the couple, so they were ready for some good news and celebrations. Chanen was pregnant three times in 2022, so there were many ups and down for them, and now they get to celebrate their exciting new chapter.
When talking about finding out they are having a baby girl, Chanen said she felt she was having a girl before the gender reveal party. “I had always thought it was a girl, and I’m kind of proud of myself because you know they always say that the mom’s intuition is always right, and I really did feel like I was having a girl,” she said.
“The first two pregnancies where we miscarried, they were boys. I really feel like they were, and I feel like the experience that I had in all three pregnancies is like, the first two were way more alike than the last one. I think it’s just because having a boy and having a girl is a very different type of pregnancy.”
It’s Starting To Feel More Real Now That They Know The Baby’s Gender
Now that Chanen knows the gender of her baby, it’s starting to feel more real for her. She’s looking forward to Juwan finding out what NFL team he will be playing for next season so she can really dig into all the fun baby preparations.
“We now have a nursery to start preparing for. I’d like to start creating a home for this child, and it’s like stressful and scary that like, I don’t know where we’re about to be, and like, we could literally be moving across the country for all I know,” she said. “It would literally just be severely life changing and amazing if that was something I can find out sooner rather than later.” See the full TikTok video HERE.
The video shared received more than 940K views and hundreds of positive comments. Many of Chanen‘s TikTok followers took to the comment section to leave well wishes, messages of congratulations, and support.
