In 2020, Disney Parks announced the iconic attraction -- Splash Mountain-- at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland — would be closing permanently and the ride will reopen as a “Princess and the Frog”-themed ride. This announcement came as the company pushes for more inclusion.

The Disney Parks are getting fans excited for the new Tiana-themed ride — which will be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — as the company released the storyline for the upcoming ride last week.

Now that Disney fans now more of what to expect for the new attraction, some are left a bit disappointed.

Disney Parks previously reported that the new ride will pick up where the beloved 2009 film left off, seeing how Tiana’s life is after the success of her restaurant debut and marrying Prince Naveen.

The storyline will follow Tiana as she purchased the salt mine and the surrounding areas that the salt dome operated from. Fans will see beloved characters from the film including Tiana’s mother Eudora, her husband Prince Naveen, and the lovable alligator, Louis, who all helped Tiana revive the old salt mine and the surrounding land, allowing them to grow fresh new ingredients such as vegetables, herbs and spices for her recipes.

As a thank you to her family and friends as well as the entire community for their support, Tiana wants to throw a big Mardi Gras party. Unfortunately, things do not go as planned and so Tiana invites the Guests to meet at Tiana’s Foods instead to help her search for the missing ingredient.

Now that it has been revealed what Guests can look forward to within the new attraction, some fans are left confused and disappointed. "I am excited for the ride but that doesn't really read like a description of an attraction ... But we shall see," one Twitter user wrote.

And another fan Tweeted, "doesn't sound like a thrill ride though. i would've preferred a movie retelling at this point."

One fan wanted to see "Friends On The Other Side" included in the final hill hike, however, it is very unlikely that will happen now that Disney has confirmed the ride will take place in a timeline after the film.

"I’m sure Disney has a reason for making the new Tiana ride a sequel to the movie but listen I don’t think I’ve ever heard a song more suited for going up a long dark lift hill than 'Friends From the Other Side'," they Tweeted.

The same fan added more thoughts, writing, "Like imagine projection mapped Other Side creatures swirling around on the walls while your log slowly climbs the hill to the sound of “BUM BUM BUM ARE YOU REAAAADY” it would go SO hard."
