Britney Spears Claims She Was 'Drunk' During Alleged 'Manic' Episode

Singer Britney Spears is directly responding to reports that she was acting "manic" in a restaurant on Friday night.

One customer even recorded the 41-year-old pop star sitting alone at a table after her husband, Iranian actor Sam Asghari, reportedly stormed out.

Britney made no mention of Sam in her lengthy post, but she did call out restaurant patrons and likened herself to the ogre "Shrek." Sam previously made his own comment on his Instagram Stories on Saturday night, simply writing, "Don't believe what you read online people."

In her latest Instagram post, the "Hold Me Closer" singer directly responded to reports that she acted "manic" at a local restaurant on Friday night.

Witnesses say that the couple, who tied the knot in June, went to a JOEY restaurant in Woodland Hills on Friday night. As soon as they walked in, everyone pulled out their phones to start recording Britney. The “Toxic” singer was understandably upset by all the attention, but sources say she then started acting “manic” by yelling and talking gibberish.

Sam allegedly got frustrated by Britney’s behavior and stormed out, leaving Britney alone at a table. One customer sent TMZ a video clip showing Britney apparently talking to herself at a table before she left with her bodyguard a few minutes after Sam did. The bodyguard reportedly came back a few minutes later to settle the bill.

In her Instagram post, Britney began by saying, “I watched ‘NATURAL BORN KILLERS’ this morning and d--- I got ENLIGHTENED … and HOLY SMOKES S--- BALLS I’m sure I brought a billion SMILES to me LOOKING LIKE SHREK at a restaurant.”

Britney then said that her “best friend” couldn’t wait to send it to her. The “Slumber Party” singer didn’t name names, but many fans felt that it was socialite Paris Hilton. The two may have had a bit of a falling out recently as Paris shared a photo of Britney and her together at Cade Hudson’s birthday party. However, Britney denied that she was at the party the following day and insisted that they were old photos.

“Even my best friend couldn’t WAIT TO SEND IT TO ME, THEY DON’T THINK TWICE because we are all natural born killers … I know the news is all hyped about me being a little drunk at a restaurant … it’s like they’ll be WATCHING MY EVERY MOVE ? !!!” Britney wrote. “I’m so flattered they talk about me like a maniac THEN have the balls to talk about all the negative things that happened in my past !!!”

“Honestly it would be safer for me to compliment this world and f--- up because if I become a prophet and don’t create history, we might have something y’all… I’m just KIDDING, but it’s a good thought ?,” Britney continued, before she continues her caption in a bit of a tongue-in-cheek tone.

Britney wrapped up her lengthy caption, writing, “I know y’all are rooting for me and all and make sure you check out the shocking Shrek picture of me … I was like d--- that’s horrific yet there were two pics where I was normal ? … either way honestly I know nobody gives a flying f--- what I do !!! I’m just bored writing this paragraph like a d--- idiot ?.”

It's possible that Britney feels that her fans have turned against her, considering the concerned comments on her Instagram posts. She has been posting, deleting, and then reposting old photos, sometimes posting the same or similar photos over and over again with similar captions or no caption at all.

Her comments section soon became flooded with allegations that Britney Spears had actually died and that her management team was secretly running her account. Others alleged that she was "locked up" somewhere and Sam was actually the one running her account.

It's worth noting that Sam has directly denied these accusations when confronted, but concerned fans are still concerned. However, it seems Britney has decided to keep the comments of her posts turned off... at least for now.
