Sam Asghari Claims He Does Not 'Control' Britney Spears' Instagram

Singer Britney Spears married Iranian actor Sam Asghari in June and rumors have been swirling that the singer is not really as free as she claims to be.
She has been posting, deleting, and reposting old photos and videos, leading to some pretty wild conspiracy theories that have even included body doubles.
One pap caught up with the "Hot Seat" actor to ask him what's really going on with Britney's Instagram account, and the answer was a little unexpected!
Sam Asghari Jokes That He Has No Control Over Britney Spears' Instagram... Or Their Dinner!
In a newly surfaced video via TMZ, Sam Asghari claims he doesn’t control Britney’s Instagram accounts. When asked if he was controlling her social media, the Iranian actor joked that he doesn’t even control what they eat for dinner.
Sam was then asked about the rumors concerning Britney. Given her strange social media behavior as of late, some fans have speculated that she isn’t actually free and that she’s really “locked up” somewhere. Others have even gone as so far as to say that she’s dead!
However, Sam said, “In the past, there has been a lot of stuff going on so I understand where they’re coming from. They’re just being protective. If anything, they’re being good fans.”
That's not the only time that Sam has commented on Britney's social media behavior. He also took to his Instagram Stories late last month to say that Britney is a "free woman" and "has her voice."
Sam Thanks Britney's 'Protective Fans' For Their Concern
The “Can You Keep A Secret?” actor took to his Instagram Stories in late December to comment on the ongoing Britney controversy. “Social media can be traumatizing. Sometimes it’s good to take a break," he began. "She has her voice and is a free woman. I have respect for her privacy and I protect it at all times."
Thank you to all of her protective fans," he wrote, adding, “Out of respect for her privacy, I don’t post her 24/7. I ask for permission if I ever do.”
“For my job, I have to attend many events,” he continued. “It would be my honor if she joins. For her, those things are not fun. They’re [hectic] and full of stress. [Specially], since she’s been doing these things since 8 years old. Plus she already slayed every single one she has been to.”
“I’ve always respected and supported her privacy with everything I’ve had,” he continued. “I ask of you supportive and protective fans to do the same. Sometimes, being over protective can cause more stress and damage.”
He ended the message there, but it has done little to quell fans' concerns about Britney, especially since she recently told her followers that she plans on changing her name to "Brooklyn" in her latest social media post.
Britney Spears Says She Wants To Change Her Name?!
It's hard to find anyone that has never heard the name "Britney Spears." However, on Thursday, December 29, the “Hold Me Closer” singer shared another video on Instagram that featured her naked in the shower.
She set the music in the video to LL Cool J’s “Doing’ It.” The almost minute-long video shows her cupping her chest and tilting her head up in the shower, occasionally staring into the camera as if it was a mirror.
In the caption, she wrote, “Changed my name to Brooklyn ?? !!!” Fans aren't sure what that is supposed t mean, but it's actually not the first time she has changed her "name," so to speak.
Earlier this summer, Britney changed her Instagram bio name to read "Channel 8." Fans weren't sure what it was supposed to mean back then, either, and Britney has never addressed it directly.
In another Instagram post, the “Slumber Party” singer shared three photos that all featured her looking into the camera with smudged under-eye make-up.
“MEXICO ?? !!! I pulled my sides up like I used to in high school and I look pretty young !!!” Britney wrote in the caption.
“It’s weird they still sell the same barrette ??♀️ !!!" she added. I always look extremely young with this hair-do !!!”
“I played in the shower for 3 hours with water on and off ? !!! The lighting was unbelievable?!!!” she continued. “It was warm and soft … it made me look 10 years old !!!”
Sam Asghari previously mentioned that he "prefers" that Britney doesn't share NSFW photos, and ever since, she's been cropping out her body in her recent photos and videos.
