Britney Spears In The Shower Wants To Change Her Name To 'Brooklyn'

Singer Britney Spears is back on Instagram, confusing followers with another confusing post.

Since her controversial 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021, fans have been getting increasingly concerned about Britney's social media posts, which include posting, deleting, then reposting the same photos and videos, most of which are NSFW.

In her latest Instagram video, the 41-year-old pop star was again in the shower when she proclaimed she wants to change her name... to Brooklyn?

On Thursday, December 29, the “Hold Me Closer” singer shared another video on Instagram that featured her naked in the shower. She is cupping her chest with both hands as a narrow stream of water drips out of the showerhead.

Her long blonde hair is tied up in a messy updo, revealing dangling earrings, but it doesn’t look like Britney is wearing anything else as she continuously tilts her chin up to look overhead. She set the music in the video to LL Cool J’s “Doing’ It.”

In the caption, she wrote, “Changed my name to Brooklyn ?? !!!” Fans aren’t sure what that’s supposed to mean, but it isn’t the first time that Britney has changed her “name,” so to speak. The bio of her Instagram account now reads “Channel 8” and has since late summer.

Her 41.6 million followers were confused by the change, but so far, Britney hasn’t explained it. She also didn’t elaborate further on her name change. Usually, her fans would debate what she was trying to say in the comments, but Britney decided to turn comments off for her photos and videos earlier this month, so fans have had to find another platform to debate what she’s trying to say.

In another Instagram post shared two days ago, the “Toxic” singer shared three photos that all featured her looking into the camera with most of her bangs clipped back away from her face.

The three photos all feature the same expression. The only difference between them is the filters used.

“MEXICO ?? !!! I pulled my sides up like I used to in high school and I look pretty young !!!” Britney wrote in the caption.

“It’s weird they still sell the same barrette ??‍♀️ !!!" she added. I always look extremely young with this hair-do !!!”

“I played in the shower for 3 hours with water on and off ? !!! The lighting was unbelievable?!!!” she continued. “It was warm and soft … it made me look 10 years old !!!”

Britney actually turned 41 on December 2, so she might just be channeling her concerns about getting older with her Instagram followers. Comments were turned off for this post too, so fans had to find somewhere else to take their speculation!

In another Instagram post, the “Oops!...I Did It Again” singer posted a photo of her wearing a red top patterned with white flowers. Her hair is still tied into a messy updo as she looks at the camera through circular lenses.

In the caption, Britney wrote, “I try to be sexy and s--- on Instagram but those of you who really know me …. "Nerd of the Century" ??? … but hey I think I pull it off !!!! Well not really …. or s--- maybe I do ??‍♀️?? !!!!”

Believe it or not, this looks like an old photo! The “Slumber Party” singer shared a similar photo that featured her sticking her tongue out at the camera on Instagram on September 8, over three months ago.

In the caption, she wrote, “Me trying to be sexy and s--- feeling myself on gram … but d--- it actually helps with my confidence … but here’s me not on instagram !!!!! ????? I’m so weird sorry ??? !!!”

At this time, she still had comments turned on for her videos, and fans took full advantage. “Anyone else see that ‘she’ posted an almost identical picture today (12.27). You guys… where is she? She’s not safe,” one follower commented.

“And now she’s reposted almost the exact same picture with a REALLY similar caption,” another fan pointed out. “Why did she just post the same photo on 12/27?” a third follower chimed in.

It seems, once again, that Britney's left her fans with more questions than answers!
