Industry heavyweights are mourning the loss of Lisa Marie Presley hours after the family confirmed her death. 

The only child of Elvis Presley, had passed after spending a brief time at the hospital following a full cardiac arrest on Thursday. Lisa Marie, who was 54 at the time of her death, made a name for herself as a singer-songwriter, belting out tunes such as "Lights Out," "Sinking In," "I'll Figure It Out," and "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow."

The entertainment world experienced a wave of sadness after Priscilla— Lisa Marie's mother — confirmed the death of her daughter in a statement that read:

"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment."

As reported by The Blast, emergency personnel had performed CPR on the singer after they arrived at her Calabasas, California, residence on Thursday. She was then rushed to the West Hills Hospital and Medical Center, where medical staff placed her in an induced coma.

Unfortunately, the 54-year-old was pronounced just a few hours later, prompting an avalanche of social media tributes from fans and celebrities. Leading the pack is actor John Travolta who shared a solo professional shot of the songwriter on Instagram with the words:

"Lisa baby girl, I'm so sorry. I'll miss you but I know I'll see you again. My love and heart goes out to Riley, Priscilla, Harper and Finley."

The 289k-liked post was followed by Rita Wilson's three-picture slide that featured her, Lisa Marie, and a group of others smiling at the camera. For her tribute, the "Sleepless in Seattle" actress began with an admission that her heart was shattered by "the sudden and shocking passing of Lisa Marie Presley tonight."

She recalled that the "Idiot" hitmaker had been "so honest and direct, vulnerable, in a state of anticipation" during their promotional tour for the 2022 film, "Elvis." Lisa Marie had also been gracious to her guests, with "a sultry voice, a power and tenderness" that Wilson had "always loved." The actress concluded her tribute by sending love to her family.

A tweet from actress Sheryl Lee Ralph read, "I just was with her at the Golden Globes and now she's gone. Life is short. RIP." Singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge disclosed that the philanthropist once told her that "the first song she ever sang for anyone was Similar Features. I was honored. I can't believe she is gone."

Former Miss USA Lynda Carter simply wrote, "Rest well, Lisa Marie" above a tweet from a news outlet reporting the singer's death. "Dear God, #LisaMariePresley has died; I'm in shock. So beautiful and only 54 years old; I can't actually comprehend it," singer Bette Midler tweeted while actress Lydia Cornell stated:

"Heartbreaking. 💔😢 Rest in peace Lisa Marie Presley, Daughter of Elvis and Priscilla, 54: 'The Most Strong and Loving Woman' ~ my heart goes out to her mother Priscilla, her children and family. ❤️🙏✨✨✨ She is with Benjamin and Elvis ✨"

Meanwhile, model Eric West dropped a picture of the former Scientologist smiling with the words that read, "Wow! I can't believe Lisa Marie Presley passed away! I met her once back in the 90s at a party in New York. She was super sweet. Life is too short! I was just watching her on the Golden Globes two nights ago! Rest well!"

"I’m heartbroken over the passing of Lisa Marie Presley.  Lisa did not have an easy life, as some might think. May she be at peace, resting with her son and father now," Leah Remini wrote above a photo of the singer in a black top and hat, "Her mom Priscilla and her three daughters, Riley, Finley, and Harper, are in my prayers."

The Sole Heir Of The Presley Residence Appeared Shaky At The Globes

The Blast reported that Lisa Marie had graced the Golden Globes Awards, which was held on Tuesday, January 10, with her mother, Priscilla, in support of Baz Luhrmann's "Elvis." 

The night ended on a high for them as Austin Butler, who featured in the film based on the King of Rock and Roll's life and work, won the Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture for the Elvis portrayal. 

Butler had acknowledged the mother-daughter duo's kind deeds during his acceptance speech, stating, "Thank you guys for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever."

The 31-year-old had been seen helping a visibly shaky Lisa Marie down a flight of stairs during the red carpet part of the night.
