According to CBS, the Los Angeles Police Department said they received reports of a male suspect, wearing all black clothing and a black mask, had jumped the fence into the yard of the home, which is located in the 900 block of Avenue 57.

The LAPD then dispatched officers to the home around 9:15 p.m. where they arrested the suspect and took him into custody.

ABC's Chris Cristi shared images of the incident to Twitter, writing, "BREAKING: LAPD robbery detectives are working a caper at the childhood home of popstar Billie Eilish in the Highland Park neighborhood of LA. A man, who reportedly jumped a fence at the property owned by Eilish’s parents, is now in custody."

The 21-year-old singer, whose parents are actress Maggie Baird and actor Patrick O’Connell, was born in Los Angeles and was raised in the home that was burglarized.

It is believed that Eilish’s parents still currently own the property.

According to several reports, the L.A. home is described as a "rustic and simple" single-family property. The home consists of two bedrooms, one hallway, a kitchen, and one bathroom. Due to the limited space, Eilish’s parents gave the two bedrooms to Eilish and her 25-year-old brother and musical collaborator Finneas while they slept on a futon in the living area.

The property is the same property where the 21-year-old "bad guy" singer recorded her number one album "When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" with her brother, Finneas.

When thanking fans and the organization for the award, Eilish admitted she was shocked and even went on to say that Megan Thee Stallion deserved to win the award. “This is really embarrassing for me,” she said in her acceptance speech. “Megan, girl… I was gonna write a speech about how you deserve this but then I was like, ‘There’s no way they’re going to choose me.’ I was like, ‘It’s hers.’ You deserve this. You had a year that I think is unstoppable. You are a queen; I want to cry thinking about how much I love you…. You deserve everything in the world, I think about you constantly…. You deserve it."

The 21-year-old singer then asked the audience to applaud Megan Thee Stallion before she continued her acceptance speech.
