The Chrisley family was dealt a heavy blow on Monday night when the patriarch and matriarch, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were sentenced to federal prison for their convicted crimes of tax evasion and bank fraud.

A jury found the "Chrisley Knows Best" star guilty in June, and they finally learned their fate yesterday. However, with the news of Todd and Julie's sentencing, their children and loved ones are reacting to the incident.

Todd's daughter Lindsie Chrisley, who had an estranged relationship with him, broke her silence on the scandal, describing it as "bad times."

Minutes after her father and his wife were sentenced, Lindsie took to her Instagram Story to show her fans how she was dealing with the verdict. The reality star uploaded a short clip showing that she was not alone when the bad news was dropped.

A clip posted to Bruno Mars' "Count On Me" showed two of Lindsie’s female pals in her bedroom with sober faces. She captioned the post, "The best girlfriends show up in the bad times with hugs and champagne ? ✨ ? ❤️." The mother-of-one, however, didn’t show her face in the video update.

Lindsie isn’t the only member of the Chrisley clan who has reacted to the news of Todd and Julie’s sentencing. Her half-sister Savannah Chrisley, who has a more positive relationship with her parents, shared a cryptic message of hope.

Breaking her silence also on her Instagram Story, she shared a quote from religious leader Pastor Kimberly Jones Pothier, who goes by the alias Real Talk Kim. The message read, "Noah didn’t stop building the ark to explain himself to everyone who doubted and hated on him. Keep building your ark. The rain will do the talking."

It’s no surprise that the 25-year-old shared a biblical-inspired quote during such a turbulent time, given that her family is highly religious.

Here’s How Long Todd & Julie Will Spend Behind Bars

The Blast shared the news that on November 21, Todd and Julie were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison. The "Chrisley Confessions" host was handed a 12-year prison sentence with 16 months probation, while his wife received a lesser sentence of just seven years plus 16 months probation.

Following their conviction in June after being indicted on 11 counts of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud, and conspiracy, prosecutors demanded that the famous television personalities face a combined 30 years in prison. Todd was set to face a sentence of between 17 to 22 years, while Julie would do between 10 to 13 years.

However, their attorney pleaded for a lesser sentence. As you might know, the power couple was found guilty of committing fraud by using bank loans and evading taxes. The couple reportedly submitted fake documents to obtain loans from smaller banks that couldn’t do due diligence due to their celebrity status.

The pair also created a production company called 7C’s Productions, of which Julie was the owner on paper. Through the establishment, which served as a loan-out company for all the money made from their hot reality show, Todd and Julie were able to hide and falsify numbers to help them dodge paying taxes.

According to the sentencing memorandum, prosecutors claimed, "The seriousness of the Chrisleys’ crimes cannot be understated. After they defrauded community banks out of tens of millions of dollars, they hid millions of dollars from the IRS, all while going on television to boast about how much they spend on designer clothes. And when they learned that they were under investigation for those crimes, they involved their own family members and friends to obstruct justice."

Back in June, after her father’s guilty verdict was pronounced, The Blast reported that Lindsie shared her thoughts with a cryptic bible passage. Alongside a verse from Psalm 23, she wrote, "I will live through this valley." She then highlighted another passage from Psalm 25 that read, "In you, LORD my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me."

Next to it, she wrote, "Asking God for protection and peace," and "The devil knows exactly when to pounce."

In an Instagram Story update, she gave an official statement that read, "I know most of you are expecting to hear from me on my podcasts this week as I took time to be with my family last week. The verdict is not what I had hoped or prayed for, and I am deeply saddened for myself, my son and my family as a whole."
