Stand-up comedian and actor Ron Funches pulled the plug on his marriage after almost three years with his wife, Christina Dawn Funches.

In the legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Funches -- who is known for his role as Cooper in the movie 'Trolls', and appearances on 'Blackish'and 'New Girl' -- claims he and his wife separated in October of 2022. Interestingly, the couple was married back in 2020, and media outlets covering the nuptials dubbed it a "pandemic wedding."

The former couple shares one son, Theodore Bear, who is only 5 months old. In the filing, Funches is asking for joint legal and physical custody of his child and wants her to pay her own legal bills.

It should be noted, in California, the amount someone pays in spousal and child support is normally based on each individual's salary. In other words, if Christina is making more than her husband, she could be ordered to pay him support -- and vice versa.

As for the former couple's property, Ron says "All separate property assets and debts have not been determined. The petitioner will amend his Petition once the separate property assets and debts have been determined.  All community and quasi-community assets and debts have not been determined. The petitioner will amend this Petition once the community and quasi-community assets and debts have been determined."

According to reports, Ron and Christina met on the dating site, Bumble, and were eventually married on August 7, 2020. The couple kept a pretty low profile after the big day, with most of the updates coming on Funches' social media. "I call my fiance Robot because when we met on Bumble I thought she was so pretty but she only had one profile pic so I didn't think she was real!" the comedian wrote after meeting his wife. Jokingly adding, "She is real and the only thing she stole was my last name."

The comedian appeared on Conan O'Brien's show following the wedding, saying it was an intimate affair because of COVID. But, he joked it was a great ceremony because it's "a great excuse not to invite racist family members."

On the show, Funches admitted he never thought he would have a second marriage after his first wife, but quarantining with Christina made him confident he would spend the rest of his life with her.

If you are a fan, you know that Funches is also raising another son from his first marriage. As a stand-up comedian, he often talks about raising his autistic son. Of course, he talks about the situation openly, and his openness about the condition makes for a compelling act. Many online say he takes care not to mock or offend the autism community.

At this point, Christina hasn't responded to the divorce filing, and the case is pending.
