And we are not talking about his late-night talk-show playbook. We are talking about Conan’s kindness playbook.
The former host of “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” reportedly took drastic measures when his employee decided to be rude to restaurant staff.
Conan Won’t Stand For Rude Or Impatient Behavior
A former writer on Conan’s show revealed on Twitter that the red-headed comedian once fired someone due to their poor behavior toward a restaurant worker.
Todd Levin wrote for “Conan” from 2010 to 2020. He explained how his boss became annoyed when an unnamed employee got “impatient and rude” with waitstaff.
Conan Fired A Crew Member For Being Rude To Waiter
“At CONAN there was a crew member who was fired because Conan witnessed him being impatient and rude to a server at a restaurant,” Levin tweeted. “Just remembering that now, for no particular reason.”

Anyone else sensing some heavy sarcasm here?!
Levin tweeted this one day after news of Corden’s abysmal behavior toward several restaurant workers surfaced.
Conan has not addressed Levin’s tweet or claims.
The Blast has been covering Corden’s restaurant drama since day one.
Corden Compared To A ‘Cretin Of A Man’ For Horrid Behavior
The British talk-show hosts’ bad behavior was exposed by NYC restaurant owner Keith McNally.
McNally is a seasoned restauranter who currently owns Balthazar in Brooklyn, NY.
On October 17th, McNally took to Instagram to share a pixelated photo of “The Late Late Show with James Corden” host alongside some heated words.
“James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago,” the London native began his rant.

McNally shared that he wasn’t usually one to call out a customer but he had to speak up about the show host because of the way Corden had treated his staff.
Making things worse, the restauranter alleged that the British comedian had exhibited such nasty behavior in his former restaurant Cafe Luxembourg some years ago.
The restaurant owner went ahead to cite two instances where the “Cats” star had a hissy fit and was mean to his staff.
Corden Reportedly Screamed At Restaurant Staff
Recalling his manager’s first report against Corden, McNally wrote, “In June, James Corden was here on table 61. (Although this is diabolical, it happens Very occasionally in all restaurants.) After eating his main course, Corden showed the hair to Balthazar manager G. who was very apologetic.”
He continued, “Corden was extremely nasty to G and said, “Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far. This way, I write any nasty reviews in yelp or anything like that.’”
The second incident happened earlier this month on October 9, when Corden visited Balthazar with his wife for brunch and asked for a table outside. His wife Julia Carey reportedly ordered an egg yolk omelette with gruyere cheese and salad.
McNally wrote, “A few minutes after they received the food, James called their server, M. K., and told her there was a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk. M. K. informed the floor manager, G. The kitchen remade the dish but unfortunately sent it with home fries instead of salad.”
“You Can’t Do Your Job” Corden Yelled At Waitstaff
It was at that error that the 44-year-old “Gavin & Stacey” star lost it and yelled like crazy to the server, saying, “You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!”
McNally shared that the server reached for the manager, who came out to smooth things out, even offering them promo Champagne glasses.
Since the negative press surrounding Corden went viral, the talk-show host issued an apology.

McNally explained on Instagram, “James Corden just called me and apologized profusely. Having fucked up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances. So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar. No, of course not. But….anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar. So Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Corden, Jimmy Corden. All is Forgiven. Xx.”
McNally wasn’t the only person to publicly call out Corden. “The Try Guys” Keith Habersberger’s wife, Becky Habersberger, also claimed to have once saw Corden go AWOL on a restaurant bus boy.
