November 15 is Steve Irwin Day. "The Crocodile Hunter's" children, Robert and Bindi, have shared tributes to their dad on social media as the world celebrates his life and legacy.

Bindi Irwin Shared A Video Of Her Dad On Instagram

Steve's daughter Bindi, 24, shared a touching video on Instagram of her late dad talking about what he wants to be remembered for. "November 15, #SteveIrwinDay. Join us by wearing your best khaki and celebrating the greatest Wildlife Warrior the world has ever known," she captioned her loving tribute post.

Steve Irwin Wants To Be Remembered For His Passion

"If there's one thing, I, Steve Irwin, want to be remembered for, it's be remembered for passion and enthusiasm," he said in the video. "Conservation is my job, my whole persona. My life revolves around that."

Many of his fans dropped into the comments to pay their respects and leave positive and loving remarks. "❤️ What a beautiful soul he was. And what unique legacy you bring on. Be proud of what you are doing. We are many shoulder to shoulder with you in the passion and lifestyle of conserving nature - both for us and for the future generations to come. ???❤️," one follower wrote. Another added, "this made me cry… omg if only he knew the impact he made today.. wow."

Other comments included, "Legends live on forever through the lives they have inspired and the positive changes made and continue to be made in our world. ??," "He is STILL helping humanity!

We miss you, Steve ?," "Your Dad touched souls of humans and animals across the whole globe. I remember growing up being so mesmerized watching him. He seemed like such a genuinely good human and this world misses him so much. Thank you for continuing his legacy," and many others.

Robert Irwin Also Shared A Loving Tribute To His Dad

"Today is Steve Irwin Day. It’s a day to remember everything Dad was about - conservation, dedication, fun and family," Robert, 18, began his caption. "It never ceases to amaze me what an impact Dad had on the world when I see people in every corner of the globe celebrating his life and legacy on this special day. ❤️"

Robert's post also got a lot of attention from Steve's fans. One follower wrote, "I always say he had a heart of gold, it's so true. I can't think of a better way to describe him. It's so touching and awakening to see a person who cares so much about nature and all its inhabitants. The world needs more people like him."

Another follower thanked Robert for continuing his father's work by saying, "I know how hard it must be for you and your family sometimes, I'm sure there's a part of you that always misses him. He was an absolute gem in this world ? Thank you for honouring his legacy and continuing to do such amazing work, and inspiring others to as well ❤"

And another fan wrote, "An amazing man, and an amazing family. Your dad gave me so much hope when I was little- that other people would also treat animals with kindness and respect them as living beings. Steve will always be a legend and even in his shows you can see how much he adored you & Bindi ?"

The Children's Group "The Wiggles" Also Shared A Tribute To Steve On Instagram

A special addition to the day will take place at the Australia Zoo where the original bandmates of The Wiggles will perform in honor of Steve. The children's band wrote a song called "Crocodile Hunter" and a video was filmed with Steve, his wife Terri and Bindi back in 2002. The group shared their own tribute, with the help of Robert, on their Instagram page.

It's been 16 years since Steve has passed. On September 4, 2006 while filming a new program off the coast of Port Douglas in Queensland, a stingray pierced his heart and he died of cardiac arrest. His family has continued his legacy and conservation efforts, as well as keeping his memory alive and well.
