Maren Morris decided to skip the CMA Awards red carpet due to her feud Jason Aldean’s influencer wife, Brittany Aldean.

It all began when Brittany Aldean posted a makeup video to Instagram with seemingly transphobic comments, to which Morris clapped back to. The feud has spiraled so much so that Maren Morris was going to skip the CMA Awards because of it.

The 32-year-old country music singer previously told the Los Angeles Times, “I’m very honored that my record is nominated. But I don’t know if I feel [at] home there right now. So many people I love will be in that room, and maybe I’ll make a game-time decision and go.”

Although Morris skipped the red carpet, she did still attend the show and was shown cheering after Album of the Year was awarded.
