Maren Morris STANS Postpartum Bodies After Slamming 'Snap Back' Culture

“Dad bods” are OUT and “mom bellies” are in!

Okay, let’s be real, the “dad bod” will ALWAYS be in style, but it’s time to normalize “mom bellies.”

And thank goodness for Maren Morris, because she is preaching the good word of “mom bellies.”

The “80s Mercedes” songstress took to social media to celebrate her postpartum body two years after giving birth.

While wearing a pink, velvet, near-floor-length dress, Maren snapped a mirror selfie.

She captioned the pic, “In this house we stan mom bellies.”

Maren looked absolutely stunning in the pic and her fans were quick to show her support.

“Amen and Amen. You carried and gave birth to a miracle. You are beautiful and strong. Mommas should ALL embrace their own beauty and support each other!!!! Thank you for sharing,” a fan replied.

Another wrote, “Seeing a uterus for the win! ?.”

One person tugged at the heartstrings with their reply writing, “Our babies called it home, how could we hate it? ?❤️.”

“She looks great, doesn’t look any different from a pre-baby belly,” another chimed in.

However, a few people were skeptical of Maren’s photo.

One user by the name of @BReal87 commented, “Yeah…that’s not a belly. Overhead light will enhance shadows and make anyone look like they have a belly.”

Another commented, “I have this belly & am no momma ??‍♀️,” and “If that's your thing be proud and do it!!”

Maren gave birth to her first child, as son, with husband Ryan Hurd in 2020.

The couple welcomed their little bundle of joy, Hayes Andrew Hurd, on March 23, 2020.

Little baby Hayes is about to celebrate his second birthday!

She announced she was expecting in October 2019.

Maren captioned the baby announcement, “the irony is just too rich that after a year of living in “GIRL” headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out. See you in 2020, little one. ??”

“GIRL” headspace refers to Maren’s second major label studio album, which was released in March 2019.

Last April, Maren shot back at body critics and the fad of getting a “snap back” body right after giving birth.

One year after giving birth, the country singer took to Instagram in a nude bra and underwear set.

She captioned the photo, “Am never saying ‘trying to get my body back’ again. no one took it, i didn’t lose it like a set of keys.”

She continued, “The pressure we put on mothers to ‘snap back’ is insurmountable and deeply troublesome. you are and always were a f***ing bada**. and yeah, I’m proud.”

It’s not the first time Maren has clapped back at internet trolls making remarks about her body.

One month after giving birth in 2020, someone online accused Maren of using Botox commenting, “Stop with the Botox.”

Without hesitating, Maren replied, “Dude, I just went through a pregnancy and we’re in the middle of a quarantine. The Botox has long worn off.”
