In a new   update on her channel, the reality star explained her new book and gave fans an insight into what fans can expect from the bombshell memoir, which chronicles her life while growing up and her escape from toxic religion.

"This has been the hardest thing I've ever done. But I think it's the most important," Duggar began the video. "I’ve written a book, it’s called “Becoming Free Indeed,” and it is my story– my journey of detangling faith from fear.”

She further stated how she got the idea, recalling how some of the friends she grew up with had lost their faith and no longer wanted anything to do with Christianity. Although this is not the same for her, she made some changes to her faith.

In her words, “I'm a Christian who loves Jesus and wants to follow him — I have, like those friends, rejected much of the teaching I heard for many years. My faith is still intact, but it has changed. Instead of leaving the faith entirely, I've been disentangling it."

The tv-personality then outlined the book's details, saying, “In it, I share stories from my life — stories that nobody saw while the TV cameras were rolling: stories of fear and uncertainty but also of discovery and hope."

Also, Duggar disclosed why she wrote the book. She wrote the book to encourage anyone struggling to relive what they were taught growing up “while also loving Jesus." The author explained, “Really, I wrote this book for any of you who are wanting to honestly examine your beliefs without abandoning God."

Jinger Duggar And Her Husband Get Slammed For Celebrating Halloween

The new update about her upcoming memoir comes a few days before The Blast reported that the pair were called out for celebrating Halloween as some of their fans insisted that Christians don’t celebrate Halloween.

The couple dressed as Mr. and Mrs. Brown, while their first daughter dressed as Henry and the second daughter as a jar of marmalade.

However, some fans were displeased with this, and they expressed it in the comments. One fan condemned Duggar, writing, “Pastor like you should know the history of Halloween I’m quite disappointed you celebrate this,” while another emphasized, “Halloween is not for Christianity.”

An observer admonished Jinger, writing, “ I guess you don’t know the true meaning of this horrible day, why not celebrate Reformation Day, very sad.”

While some users thought the young mother had sinned, others believed otherwise and encouraged Jinger to keep enjoying her life. “Don’t let anyone bring you down,” a user encouraged. “You committed no sin by wearing your costumes and trick or treating.”

This is not the first time the tv star strayed away from the conservative beliefs she was brought up with. She was the first among her sisters to wear shorts instead of the traditional denim skirts they were known for. Also, she started to listen to mainstream music, and she shared a Spotify playlist with her fans.

Now, the TLC star has chronicled how she began to change certain beliefs in her new book, which is scheduled to hit bookshelves on Jan. 31, 2023.
