Is TikTok's 'Corn Kid' Putting His Corn Cob Down For An Early Retirement??

Say it isn't so! The Internet's favorite corn loving kid Tariq has announced that he has retired while chatting with Nolan Hansen, one of Mr. Beast's "Beast Gang." The video shared on Hansen's TikTok page has received more than 13 million views in less than one day.

While chatting with Hansen in the video captioned, "Another corntastic interview," Tariq, 7, said he retired when school began this year. "Do you still love corn?" Hansen asked to which Tariq replied, "Yeah, ever since I retired, I just didn't feel like myself. But like now that I'm traveling around the world I'm starting to get my attitude back." Hansen then told Tariq that it's news that he retired. "Ever since school was starting, I have retired," Tariq said. "And I love my teachers." Hansen then asked him if he gets bored of corn ever. "Even if I get bored of corn, I will always be the Corn Kid in my heart."

Viewers of the video were shocked to hear Tariq has retired. One follower wrote, "'I will always be the corn kid in my heart' THATS SO SWEEET." Another fan chimed in with, "Retired???? This is a gold interview. He does better at this than me ?."

"The fact that it started just a little interview, and then it became a song, and then he blew up that's just amazing," one person wrote in the comments, reminding everyone how far Tariq has come in a short period of time. More than 6,900 other sentiments of love, support and reminiscing the good corn times filled the comment section.

Tariq rose to Internet fame quickly after doing an interview with Julian Shapiro-Barnum of Recess Therapy this summer. After the video went viral, a second interview video hit social media, and then Corn Kid's career really took off. He had a Cameo page, visited "The Drew Barrymore Show," attended Mr. Beast Burger's grand opening in American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and visited Corn Palace in South Dakota, where he was named the "Corn-Bassador" of the state.

This wasn't the first video Tariq has filmed with Hansen. Tariq's relationship with Mr. Beast and his affiliate Hansen has grown through all his Corn Kid fame. He was a guest at Mr. Beast Burger's grand opening and did an interview with Hansen about the burgers.

Tariq has also recently reunited with Mr. Beast to create a fun Halloween video with him. The video was viewed more than 1 million times and many followers commented on how much they love their blossoming friendship.

The question on all his fans minds is probably - is he really retiring, or is he just taking a much-needed corn break? His TikTok page is updated often with new videos and is the best place to keep up with everything Tariq. He's been doing videos in a series called, "Tariq Tries" where he tries different food and gives his honest opinions on them. Maybe after trying a bunch of different foods, he will reconsider retiring from corn and share more corntastic content for his fans.
