After 13 years of marriage, Brazilian fashion model Gisele Bündchen and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady are officially filing for divorce.
The divorce lawyers for both Bündchen and Brady have been working with a mediator so that the two can come to an agreement in regard to property settlement and custody of their children. It seems the two have officially come to terms as the divorce documents were filed last week in Florida, but the terms of the settlement will remain confidential and sealed.
Shortly after the two officially announced their divorce, the Brazilian supermodel released a statement, saying, “With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart. We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care and attention they greatly deserve."
Now, a source close to Bündchen is coming forward, saying she seems to be doing fine after the divorce.
Gisele Bündchen 'Seems Fine' After Divorce
The source is admitting that Bündchen is doing fine after her divorce from her husband of 13 years, Tom Brady, mainly because the fashion model is used to being on her own. "Gisele is dealing with issues that have been plaguing her for a long time," the source close told PEOPLE.
Although the split from Brady "was hard at first," the source says that "enough time has passed that she is settling in." She "has lived her own life for years while Tom played football so she is not afraid to do things by herself."
Ever since the split, the mother of two has been seen spending a lot of time with her kids, which has helped make this situation easier. "Gisele is great with her children and radiates happiness when either one or both are around," the source said. "Having them with her has helped her move ahead."
A second source came forward and told PEOPLE that Bündchen "looked beautiful and seemed fine," when they saw her with the kids in Miami Beach.

After the divorce news broke, the 45-year-old NFL quarterback took to Instagram to release a statement of his own.
“In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve,” Brady wrote in an Instagram Story.
“We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration. Doing so, is, of course, painful and difficult, like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world. However we wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written,” he continued.
Brady concluded with, “And we kindly as for privacy and respect as we navigate what is to come in the days and weeks ahead. Thank you.”
