Tom Brady Would Rather Sabotage His Marriage Than Retire

Don’t cry for Tom Brady, Tampa Bay.

The star quarterback would rather lose his family than retire, or at least that what it seems like.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers player addressed retirement rumors during a press conference on October 20th.

You’ll recall that he announced his retirement in February, but quickly reversed that decision and went back to playing football.

This caused a major point of contention in his marriage to supermodel Gisele Bündchen. In recent weeks, it has become more and more evident the couple is headed for a divorce.

So, what is a football-loving guy to do when his marriage is falling apart?

After joking with reporters that they “pushed me to the brink,” Brady announced there is no retirement in his future.

“I think a lot of it for me is just us going out there to, you know… I love the sport; I love the teammates and I want to go do a great job for this team like I always have. So, no retirement in my future,” he said.

Fans were quick to comment on the video and make jokes at Gisele’s expense

“The straw that broke Giseles back,” one wrote.

“Bro said she was the only thing holding me back ?,” another commented

One person replied, “He retired the relationship to focus on the relationship that really matter ???.”

Some people were more sensitive and felt for Gisele and their family.

“Oh you definitely retiring after this season! U lost your wife. Don’t lose your children now,” one fan warned.

“Enough just retire. Try to salvage what’s left of your marriage,” another commented.

A fan urged him “Bro go be a dad.”

Others assumed the divorce had gone through, which left Brady to his own devices, i.e. more football.

In September, Gisele expressed her concern with the sport and her husband’s involvement.

"This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present," the supermodel shared in a September interview with Elle. "I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]."

Earlier this month, she hinted at one of the reasons for the demise of their relationship.

She recently commented on an Instagram post by Jay Shetty.

The post read, "You can't be in a committed relationship with someone who is inconsistent with you. Read that again."

Gisele commented on the post with a simple prayer hands emoji.

Her comment may be simple, but it says A LOT!

Gisele was the first to make a move to hire a divorce lawyer and this reportedly hit Brady where it hurt.

“He feels very hurt by her. She is the one steering the divorce. She is playing offense and he is playing defense. He wants to protect himself, protect his interests, but he’s only starting to go the legal route in his defense from her. He doesn’t want this to be ugly, he doesn’t want to fight. If the divorce is happening — and it seems like it is — he wants it to go as smoothly as possible.”

Another source added that Brady’s marital woes are weighing heavily on him as he has never been one to face difficult issues in his life.

“Think about it: Tom has had a very charmed life. Things always seem to go his way. He works hard, he’s a good guy, he hasn’t had a lot of things go wrong in his life. This is awful for him. You can tell that this really, really hurts,” the source expounded on the matter.

Brady and Gisele’s marital troubles date back to late August when the star athlete missed 11 days of pre-season practice due to “personal reasons.”

Shortly after, news broke that the “Taxi” actress left their Tampa Bay home in anger, and ever since, things haven’t been the same.

Per reports, the estranged couple, who was married for over 13 years, no longer live together, with Bündchen even refusing to bunk with the father of her kids during Hurricane Ian. She also hasn’t attended any of his games since the 23rd season of the NFL began in September.
