New York Jets CB Sauce Gardner Mocks Packers Loss By Wearing Cheesehead

Quarterback Zach Wilson and the New York Jets took down Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in one of the biggest upsets of the week.

Winning 27-10, the Jets had an incredible game, with the defense sacking Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers four times and hitting him nine times. The Jets' win makes it their third straight, improving to 4-2 for the first time since 2015, resulting in players being absolutely ecstatic after the game, celebrating and high-fiving one another before leaving the field.

One of the Jets players, cornerback Sauce Gardner, went as far as mocking the Packers team and fans by wearing the iconic cheesehead before leaving the field and heading into the locker room.

Green Bay Packers fans are known as the cheeseheads, and often wear a cheesehead hat to the games to support their team.

In yesterday's game, New York Jets cornerback decided to have some fun and wear a cheesehead after the 27-10 win over the Packers. The cheesehead was actually given to the rookie by a very happy Jets fan in the crowd. Gardner put the cheesehead on and ran around the field getting the crowd pumped after the shocking win.

Barstool Sports shared a video of the incident, writing, "Sauce Gardner celebrating with a cheesehead is peak disrespect."

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero also Tweeted a video of Gardner, writing, "#Jets CB Sauce Gardner wearing a cheesehead as he leaves the field, until a #Packers player (looked like Allen Lazard) knocked it off his head. Big win for the Baby Jets at Lambeau Field."

The cornerback then jogged off the field and to the tunnel, however, it was the wrong tunnel and he quickly came into close contact with Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allan Lazard, who did not like the fact that Gardner was wearing a cheesehead.

Lazard knocked Gardner's cheesehead off of his head, which quickly went viral as videos of the moment were shared all over social media.

After the incident, Gardner ran into the Jets locker room and spoke out about the decision to wear a cheesehead after the win.

"I'm definitely never going to forget this moment," Gardner said as he laughed at his locker. "It's a tribute to the Jets fans. They put in on my head, the Jets fans. I just had to take it and run with it."

Allan Lazard also spoke out after knocking the cheesehead off of Gardner's head, saying, "It's just a little competitive spirit. Nothing too harmful in that aspect or anything. I'm sure he probably would've done the same thing if I was wearing a Jets hat or helmet walking off their field, so that's just the competitiveness in me."

He concluded, "No disrespect to him."

Zach Wilson and the New York Jets will take on the Denver Broncos next week while Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers head to Washington to play the Commanders.
