Ashley Tisdale Says the “High School Musical” Cast Stays In Touch
The popular Disney Channel Original Movie, “High School Musical”, was an instant success when it debuted in 2006.
The film starred Zac Efron (Troy Bolton), Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella Montez), Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth), Monique Coleman (Taylor McKessie), Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay Evans), and Lucas Grabiel (Ryan Evans), and even went on to produce two sequels — “High School Musical 2” (2007) and “High School Musical 3” (2008).
Although the cast of “High School Musical” has not been together since the third film, “High School Musical 3,” which debuted in 2008, actress Ashley Tisdale admits they are all still in touch.
“Obviously we are all in different places of life, but the thing about what’s so great about every single one of them is that you can text them and be like ‘hey, I haven’t talked to you in so long’,” Tisdale said on a recent podcast. “Lucas [Grabiel] was just texting me like a couple of weeks ago, and we were just chatting, and it’s like time hasn’t passed."
Tisdale closed out by saying, “They really are all good people and I think that we went through something that was just a really wild time in our lives and so I think that we all kind of remind each other of that.”
