Vinny Guadagnino is trading in his fist pumps and suntan lotion for dancing shoes as he officially made his debut on "Dancing With the Stars" last night.
Unfortunately, the judges did not have great things to say about the "Jersey Shore" alum, and here's what the 34-year-old had to say about it.
Vinny Guadagnino Speaks Out On "Dancing With the Stars" Criticism
The "Dancing With the Stars" judges were honest with Guadagnino, expressing their disappointment in his debut dance. When the "Jersey Shore" star was asked about the comments, he told U.S. Weekly, “I’m not gonna say anything — you can go read the comments though."
Social media users have not held back their own opinions on Guadagnino's performance. "The Twitter world is talking right now — little justice for Vinny going on here, but I can’t be mad at it because, like, I don’t control that," he continued. "That’s what they say. I’m definitely not a technical dancer. So if they’re gonna look at all the technique, technical things, like, I definitely have room for improvement, but the fans came out to vote and that’s what’s most important."
One Tweet that critiqued the "Jersey Shore" alum, read "Vinny Guadagnino is extremely lucky he is dancing with Koko who is trying her hardest to razzle dazzle in order to cover up his deficiencies."

Another Tweet read," Honestly, not sure why Len is being booed by the crowd for his opinion on Vinny Guadagnino’s dance: it felt too slow for how fast the song was. Did the crowd actually like their dance? Weird."

The 34-year-old ended on a positive note, expressing his gratitude for those who do support him, "I’ve really felt the love this week more than like a lot of times ever in my career doing this.”
Guadagnino also spoke to reporters Monday night, admitting he knew it wasn't his best performance but didn't think it was as bad as everyone is saying. “I didn’t think I did that bad, honestly, but we’re gonna do our thing. I kind of like being the underdog now — start a little fire in me," he explained.
Vinny Guadagnino on "Dancing With the Stars" Night One
Vinny Guadagnino is partnered with Koko Iwasaki, who is new to this season of "Dancing With the Stars." Dancing the salsa to Bad Bunny’s “Tití Me Preguntó,” Guadagnino earned 17 out of 40 points, putting him at the bottom of the leaderboard.
Despite being in last place based on scores alone, he was not in the bottom two, thanks to the support of his fans and family voting for him.
Jason Lewis and Peta Murgatroyd, who earned an 18 out for 40, and Teresa Giudice and Pasha Pashkov, who received a 20 out of 40, were the two couples who faced elimination. The judges decided to save the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star, Teresa Giudice, meaning we had to say goodbye to " Sex and the City" alum, Jason Lewis.
Guadagnino has his competition set out for him as other stars completely dominated the leaderboard. TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, "Lt's Make a Deal" host Wayne Brady, Drag Queen Shangela, actress Selma Blair and "Bachelorette" Gabby Windey were the top five scores of the evening.
"Dancing With the Stars" streams on Disney+ Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
