As Kelly Ripa awaits the day her first book releases to the public, the actress and talk show host got a surprise visit from her editor with a first edition copy just for her. "Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories" releases on September 27 wherever books are sold, and then Ripa will be going on a mini-book tour to promote her story. Ripa posted the exciting moment she was able to hold her new book in her hands on her Instagram page captioned, "When your editor surprises you with the first edition. Hot off the presses!"

Ripa Was Excited To Get A First Edition Copy Of The Much Anticipated Book

Ripa's excitement couldn't be contained as she hugged her editor while saying, "This is the real one," to which her editor replied, "That's a real book, yes, that's not fake." The two then agree they feel like they've known each other for many years, to which Ripa says, "You've known me for 52 years now." Ripa also said she's bringing that book to her parents and introduces her editor to all watching as Carrie Thornton.

The comment section of the post was filled with excitement and messages of congratulations for this moment and the book's release in two weeks.  Plus, with Ripa wearing an iconic retro Action Park shirt, many people in the comment section had something to say. "I love your Action Park tee. You survived it and got the t-shirt to prove it!," "Action park !!!! Omg!!!," " Congratulations!! You are the cutest and Iā€™m going to need one of those shirts. šŸ˜," "Congrats! Also, the shirt is everything!" and a few others.

Ripa First Announced The Book On 'Live With Kelly And Ryan' Last Year

According to a description, the book "will feature a collection of personal essays on childhood, motherhood, marriage, her career and the intersection of all the above - putting her thoughtfulness, assertiveness and deep understand of the dynamics of gender and power on full display." Ripa, who shares three children with husband Mark Consuelos, Michael, 25, Lola, 21, and Joaquin, 19, shares her personal stories and accoring to the book's website, "takes no prisoners" in the process.

When Ripa announced that she was writing a book on "Live With Kelly And Ryan" in 2021, she told co-host Ryan Seacrest, "For the past year of my life I've been writing a book. And for some reason I thought I could do this," she said. "Don't know why, I have no authority to do it, there's never been any proof that I have this ability, but I decided to do it."

The new author first posted a photo of the book's cover on her Instagram page, she wrote, "My husband said writing a book is like giving birth. He's never done either. Although it would be like giving birth, if giving birth lasted 18 months. A labor of love nonetheless."

The day after the book hits shelves Ripa starts her mini-book tour.

October 7 - Ann Arbor, MI - with special guest Mark Consuelos

October 9- Louisville, KY - with special guest Justin Sylvester
