She’s clearly a “Kelly-of-all-trades” as she is getting ready to add author to her long list of accomplishments. Kelly Ripa just announced three tour dates to promote her soon-to-be-released book, “Live Wire” on her Instagram page captioned, “Equal parts thrilled and nervous to announce my book tour for LIVE WIRE! this fall. A BOOK TOUR! Imagine that. I’ll be joined by some riveting, not to mention sexy guests so head to the link in my bio to learn more. Tickets go on sale Friday. Can’t wait to see you.”

Borrowing Carrie Bradshaw’s Style
Ripa unveiled the cover of her book earlier this year and described her memoir as “funny” and “honest.” She joked around with her “Live With Kelly and Ryan” cohost, Ryan Seacrest, that she hopes the resemblance to Sarah Jessica Parker will help her get more book sales. “So my thought process was – now stick with me – I think that maybe people might think it’s Sarah Jessica Parker’s book. We were like, ‘Oh, it’s Sex and the City!'” Ripa said her choice in cover outfit resembles Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic style. Seacrest responded, “From a distance.”

A “Funny Collection of Essays”
This is Ripa’s first book. When she announced the book on the morning show in 2021, she told Seacrest, “For the past year of my life I’ve been writing a book. And for some reason I thought I could do this. Don’t know why, I have no authority to do it, there’s never been any proof that I have this ability, but I decided to do it.” She went on to explain that it’s a funny collection of essays, because that’s easier than calling it a memoir. The book is being described as one that will show just what makes the actress tick. The book’s description reads, “As a professional, as a wife, as a daughter and as a mother, she brings a hard-earned wisdom and an eye for the absurdity of life to every minute of every day. It is her relatability in all of these roles that has earned her fans worldwide and millions of followers on social media.”
