After a series of highly publicized problems, Britney was placed in an involuntary conservatorship for over 13 years. Fans will recall that after the star put a startling stop to her four-year Las Vegas concert residency in 2016, news of her legal battle over the conservatorship became highly publicized, leading to the establishment of the hashtag "FreeBritney" movement.

Since 2016 the "Crossroads" star stopped releasing music or performing. By 2021, the presiding court terminated the conservatorship after her public testimony, where she accused her management team and family, especially her father, Jamie Spears, of abuse.

Fast forward to July 2022, the pop star finally broke her six-year music hiatus with music legend Elton John. The "In the Zone" singer restarted her music career in the home studio of producer Andrew Watt in Beverly Hills. The star, accompanied by her new husband, arrived at the producer's studio to record her parts for Hold Me Closer, a duet with the "Sacrifice" singer.

The new son is a mash-up of three of some of John's major hits; "Tiny Dancer," "The One," and a little of "Don't Go Breaking My Heart." Ahead of the release, the 75-year-old music icon who learned to play the piano early, felt he could relate personally to what Britney was going through. The "South Park" guest star recalled how he helped her overcome her fear of returning to music.

This admission comes on the heels of an interview with The Guardian. Elton shared with the publication that although they had to get her approval on everything she did, they completely understood and empathized with her because of all she had been through and her fear of returning to the public space.

The "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" star went down a reflective path of his past struggles, which he credits with making him want to use his experience to help other artists who found themselves in a dark palace. He continued by explaining, "it's hard when you're young. Britney was broken. I was broken when I got sober. I was in a terrible place."

The "Victim of Love" singer, who has been sober for 32 years, finished his thoughts by pointing out how a lot of artists don't have a lot of self-esteem and although they go on stage to perform and receive applause, they come offstage, and we're back to square one."

Jenniffer Lopez Supports Britney Spears Over Parenting Drama

Earlier this month, The Blast shared that Spears had been in the news after her ex-husband Kevin Federline alleged that their boys want to keep their distance from their mom. Although the matter will be handled privately from here on out, it didn't stop the singer from announcing what she is calling her "Declaration of Independence" in a video.

The deleted video began with the "Overprotected" singer saying, "In a world where you have the right to use your feet….. heart… mouth… eyes … and body… to express yourself however you may!!!. The star continued the video by saying, "Declaration of INDEPENDENCE … for equality and to be equal !!! Not even touching, covering, and holding me against my will for 4 months !!!"

She then quoted the "Not Your Mama" singer's words from the same song, saying, "As Jennifer Lopez once said, 'You look right down that camera and tell every little girl in the world to get loud and never ever back down to giving light to injustice !!!" The pop princess ended her video by stating, "freedom is a state of mind !!! GOD BLESS U ALL".

It shocked fans when Jennifer Lopez responded and shared a throwback picture of them with three red heart emojis and the hashtag "StayStrong." Fans flooded the post with love, with some calling the stars "Legends," while another commented, "great message and tribute for Britney, JLO! so amazing you encourage her and all women to be strong! dominating tweet!"
