When Vicki Gunvalson found out her OG bestie Tamra Judge was asked to return to the "Real Housewives of Orange County" for season 17 and she wasn't, the tears were flowing. Gunvalson, 60, was on the show from day one and stuck around on the Bravo reality show for 14 seasons before being fired. Judge departed the show two years ago and recently announced she will be returning.

Happy for her Friend, but also Sad for Herself

"Of course, I'm excited for her. I would be a bad friend if I wasn't," she said on E! Online's "Daily Pop." "She thinks that I wasn't supporting her enough by going back on, that's not the case. Yes, I have FOMO (fear of missing out). I'm like any other woman that would be feeling that way." She continued explaining the reason for her tears. "It's been three or four weeks later that she called and told me she's going back on. The main thing I did was cry. I mean, I was like, I didn't get the call," she said. "I mean, I think we're a good Lucy and Ethel together but there's obviously something that Bravo doesn't like about me and so I have to accept it."

Officially Announced her Return to RHOC

Judge officially announced her return to the show on the July 20 episode of "Watch What Happens Live." She will be joining cast members Shannon Storms Beador, Heather Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson. It was announced earlier in July that Dr. Jennifer Armstrong and Noella Bergener have left the show. Another addition to the upcoming season is the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum Taylor Armstrong. She will be appearing on "RHOC" in a "friend" role and is the first "Housewife" to cross over cities within the franchise. Gunvalson said she "had no idea that Taylor was auditioning for Orange County 'Housewives.'"

Being a Supportive Friend

Gunvalson posted a supportive message for Judge on her Instagram page after it was announced that Judge would be returning. The post captioned, "'My friend, my soulmate my sister' is back on #rhoc. I loved seeing you reclaim your orange last night with @bravoandy on #wwhl @tamrajudge. Go give 'em hell girl!" included a carousel of photos of the two best friends together over the years on the show.

Filming "Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip"

And while the Bravo star said she was sad about not returning to "RHOC," she was able to spend some time with Judge, 54, on season two of "Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip." Other "Housewives" on the second season of the show were Dorinda Medley, Jill Zarin, Eva Marcille, Brandi Glanville, Phaedra Parks, and Taylor Armstrong. And of course, the usual "Housewife" drama was present!  The group stayed at Blue Stone Manor, home of Medley, to spend a week in the Berkshires.

Gunvalson reposted a photo taken by Parks that Medley posted on her Instagram page captioned, "Hard to believe it’s our last episode. Thank you girls for your hard work, your commitment, the ups and the downs. You're all fantastic. Thank you @bravoandy for once again, putting together a great group of girls and having them stay and film @thebluestonemanor. It wasn't always easy but we worked hard, we played hard, and in the end, we bonded and made A GREAT SHOW!"
