Britney Spears' Memoir Is Reportedly Done But Delayed

Singer Britney Spears has reportedly finished writing her tell-all memoir and fans can't wait for it to be released.

According to TMZ, the "Overprotected" singer has already finished writing the highly anticipated book, so when is it going to be released?

According to the outlet, the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer's bombshell memoir is done and was scheduled to be released in January 2023. Unfortunately, it looks like it's going to be delayed to supply chain shortages, namely, a lack of paper.

In February 2022, Page Six revealed that Britney Spears, 40, had signed a $15 million dollar deal with the publishing company Simon & Schuster to finally tell her side of the story. Although it seems Britney has finished her book, Publishers Weekly indicated that it might be a while before fans finally get to read it due to a "paper crunch" in the publishing industry.

At a Publishers Weekly webinar earlier this year, Midland Paper Vice President Bill Rojack said, “I’ve been doing this for 25 years and I’ve never seen a market like this before.” Although he said that book-quality paper has been on the rise, it has fallen by almost 50% in "recent years." Therefore, paper mills have shifted over to producing corrugated cardboard and other material instead of book-quality paper.

“This is more than a market cycle,” Rojack explained. “It is a structural transformational sea change that happened so much faster than anybody expected because of Covid.”

As Page Six pointed out, it didn't affect Simon & Schuster from publishing “The Official Britney Spears Coloring Book,” which was released by indie publisher Ulysses Press in November 2021, right around the time a judge ended her stifling 13-year conservatorship.

Over the past few weeks, fans have been really concerned about the "Gimme More," singer, especially because she keeps giving them more of the same photos! Fans are worried that Britney might not really be free of her conservatorship after all, as she keeps posting the same old videos and pics over and over again.

“Why hasn’t she posted from her new house yet? Does she control this account at all?” one fan asked, referring to the new house Brit reportedly bought last month after her wedding to Sam Asghari. Britney actually posted one video of Sam swimming around in the pool of their new house last month, but she has since deleted it.

One fan offered that Britney “could be being taken advantage of, again, by people that were hired by team conservatorship instead of her father… it's not that outrageous to think something isn't right. Her IG doesn't scream ‘I'm a happily married free woman!’ does it?”

It seems that Britney - or at least someone - is aware that fans have a lot of concerns about Brit's recent posting behavior lately. In the caption of another throwback video, Brit wrote, “I’m reposting this because well … I just felt like it ???.”

“All these old posts!” one fan commented. “Something isn’t right.”

“I am getting so worried. I want to see a picture of her with today’s paper,” another fan agreed.

“Why don’t you ever post s--- of anything but this????” another fan asked. “also I’m sure this will be deleted in 3 mins. we all know what’s happening here!! #freebritney.”

“Something is not right! Where is Britney really?” another asked. “Who is controlling this Instagram? I hope she’s ok?”

In her Instagram Stories earlier this week, Britney revealed that she went to a bar with her assistant, Vicky T. "So glad they took my rights away for 13 years to have a cocktail !!!" she wrote over the photo. "I'm so so grateful yall!!"

It could be that Brit heard her fans' calls for new content and decided to share an Instagram Story, but that still doesn't explain why she doesn't create more recent posts. Hopefully, Britney decides to shed some light on this matter soon. Her fans are getting worried!
