Britney Spears' Husband Sam Asghari Calls Wearing His Wedding Ring 'A Workout'

Iranian actor Sam Asghari has finally tied the knot with singer Britney Spears.

The two started dating after they met on the set of her 2016 "Slumber Party" video and the Iranian actor popped the question last September, only a few months before Britney's stifling 13-year conservatorship came to an end.

The power couple tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony earlier this month. Britney shared photos of her storybook wedding on her Instagram page, which included photographs of a horse drawn carriage. The imagery seemed extra appropriate on Wednesday, as Sam told Good Morning America that being married to the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer is like a fairytale!

In the interview, which was transcribed by the Daily Mail, Sam talked about what it was like to finally be married to the 90s pop icon.

He said that life was like "a fairytale" ever since they tied the knot and even gave correspondent Will Reeve a close-up look at his wedding ring.

"I have to wear this thing now," he said as he gestured to the gold ring. "It's nice, it's a good rock. It's heavy so I'm getting a work out with it."

Although he was there to promote his upcoming action movie "Hot Seat," Sam couldn't help but gush about his blushing bride.

He described married life as "surreal" and confessed that "it was way overdue for us."

"We imagined this thing being a fairytale and it was," he added.

Shortly before taking off for their honeymoon, the "Gimme More" singer caught the attention of her Instagram followers in a colorful cut-out bikini.

In the background, fans can see the new pool for Britney's new house! Britney moved out of her house in Thousand Oaks, California, and into a nearby neighborhood where her ex, Kevin Federline, lives presumably to be closer to her two teenage sons.

K-Fed's attorney said that he was "surprised" to see Britney moving into the neighborhood, but said that he doesn't mind as long as there isn't any drama!

And Britney didn't seem anxious to start any drama as she posted a video of Sam Asghari taking a plunge into their new pool. Although it wasn't pictured in the video, Britney revealed that the pool actually has a slide and she's already been down four times.

"Haven't been on my honeymoon yet …" she wrote in the caption of the post. "got married and moved into a new house around the same time … not the smartest thing to do … ?????? … oh well it's coming together."

Although fans are eager to get a peek at her new kitchen and living room (bring on those dancing videos!), the two have already taken off on a trip to Las Vegas!

Regardless, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE on Wednesday that "Britney loves her new house. She picked it out with Sam."

"She wanted a fresh start with Sam," the insider dished. "It's been very important to her to have a home that she picked up without having to ask for approval from [dad Jamie Spears]."

Britney is reportedly "very happy" to be married to the fitness trainer. The source added, "She still can't believe she is married. She enjoys it very much and loves calling Sam her husband."

Although plenty of fans thought that the "Gimme More" singer was already on her honeymoon, apparently, that's not the case! They apparently took a small trip to Las Vegas on June 24, but are saving their big honeymoon for next year.

Las Vegas, of course, is where Britney performed during her conservatorship, although it seems she has no desire to get back into performing... at least, not right now.

"Britney has no desire right now to have a career," the source added. "She is not opposed to working in the future, but right now, she just wants to enjoy her life."
