Kevin Federline 'Surprised' That Ex Britney Spears Bought A Home Near Him

Singer Britney Spears is now a married woman and it seems she needs a bigger house for the growing family she plans to start!

Last week, the “Gimme More” singer tied the knot with Sam Asghari in a wedding that looked to be something out of a fairytale. Although the two didn’t seem to go on a honeymoon, they clearly don’t need to – the two have been living it up throughout the year, taking tropical trips to Maui, Mexico, and even Las Vegas.

Another reason they might want to delay a honeymoon? They’re moving!

According to TMZ, Britney and Sam are all ready to move into their new home after Brit paid $11.8 million dollars for a mansion in Calabasas. The 11,650-square-foot home is in the same neighborhood as her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, and their two teenage sons: Sean and Jayden.

It seems that K-Fed was not informed about the move beforehand, as a source told the outlet that “Kevin was surprised that of all the neighborhoods she can afford to move to she chose his.”

The source added, “As long as his peace and tranquility aren't invaded as a result, more power to her.”

Britney’s white car was spotted in the driveway of the new home along with some moving trucks, so it looks like they’re ready to begin married life as soon as possible.

The home is reported to have 1.6 acres of land with a huge pool and a waterslide. There’s also a huge kitchen, a home movie theater, and a room dedicated to gift wrapping.

K-Fed isn’t the only one who lives in the area. Other newlyweds Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker also live there now. Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey also lived there before they moved to Beverly Hills.

TMZ reported that “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” stars Josh and Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman and Todd Bernstein of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage handled the sale of the new property.

Britney revealed her intentions to move as early as last February. In an Instagram video, Britney said that she was going to be moving for the first time in seven years.

In the caption, Britney wrote, “So this is the view from my room ... it’s pretty spectacular ?? !!!!”

However, she admitted that “I’ve lived in this house for 7 years and I’m in the process of buying a new home ? … it’s time for change !!!!”

“I’ve been pretty modest about the home I live in now !!!!” she added. “I know you guys have seen me dance in my living room …. but honestly I have 3 living rooms ???‍♀️? !!!! Maybe one day I’ll give you guys a tour but until then here’s the pink sky ??? !!!”

Brit said that she was “in the process” of buying a home at the time, so it sounds like she had already set her sights back on this house.

Back in March, Drake put his lavish Hidden Hills estate on the market and witnesses told TMZ that they saw a lot of celebrity buyers expressing an interest – including Britney and Sam.

The property boasted its own private recording studio, so fans had their fingers crossed that it was a sign that Britney was looking into creating new music again. If that wasn't enough, the “YOLO estate” contained six fireplaces, a wine cellar, a tasting room, and a movie theater that has enough room for twenty-five people.

Although it makes sense that Britney would want to be closer to her children, The Blast previously reported that Britney might have had some bad blood with K-Fed after she accused him of not being there for her during her pregnancy.

In April, Britney wrote in a quickly deleted post, “My ex-husband wouldn’t see me when I flew to New York with a baby inside me and Las Vegas when he was shooting a video !!! And as my brother’s best friend shows up to support a very pregnant woman in Vegas because he felt and PLAYED IT OFF TALKING AND EATING ICE ALL NIGHT.”

“Since I hadn’t seen him in a while I already knew it was over,” Britney continued. “I had my baby and went out literally 2 times with Paris [Hilton] and it was all over the news like I was a party girl.”

“Whatever … it’s over now and I’ve made my peace with it,” Britney concluded.

Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, quickly called out Britney Spears’ post as “false,” as per TMZ. Kaplan said that Britney’s version of events “is completely the opposite of what’s true. She knows that.”

He warned, “She should be very careful about pursuing a dialogue that’s based on revisionist history.” He added, “That story about Kevin in Las Vegas and Britney is completely erroneous, and [Kevin is] not going to stand by and let that story besmirch what he did and his support of her back in the day.”

Apparently, Kevin hasn't lost sleep over Britney's new relationship. “But when she starts talking about the way things were when Jayden and Preston were infants that's completely fabricated,” Kaplan added. “Kevin is not going to let that stand by and let that be the portrayal of fact.”
