Britney Spears Finally Reveals Why She Keeps Reposting Old Videos

Singer Britney Spears is causing quite a stir online.

Earlier this week, she shared an old dancing video from July 2021 in a different room in her house, leading her fans to suspect that Britney - or whoever runs her social media account - was trying to dupe her fans into thinking it was new.

The video was later taken down and replaced by a photo dump of various Britney outfits that she had already posted last month. Fans have been getting pretty worried about why the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer keeps reposting old content, but according to Britney, she has a pretty simple reason for why she keeps sharing old stuff.

It seems Britney finally saw the messages from her followers, as she addressed them in the caption of another throwback video. “I’m reposting this because well … I just felt like it ???,” she wrote. In the video, Britney is wearing another ab-baring floral pink short-sleeve shirt with white shorts and her signature brown heels.

“Ya but are YOU reposting it?” one follower asked.

Another replied, “Great question!!!!! I can't imagine her supossly having drinks in a bar "for the first time" and instead of enjoying it shes on her phone posting, deleting and reposting the same thing 3 times...”

In her Instagram Stories, Britney revealed that she went to a bar with her assistant, Vicky T. "So glad they took my rights away for 13 years to have a cocktail !!!" she wrote over the photo. "I'm so so grateful yall!!"

However, Britney then followed it up with a photo of her lying naked across a bed, with the lips sticker placed over her rear end, probably as a clear warning for her haters to kiss her butt.

"TRUTH MATTERS !!! That’s a joke ? … What are the wise birdies ? thinking about today ? ???" she asked in the caption of the post.

"Not the lips sticker... girl..." one fan commented.

Britney also followed it up with a post of her lying on her bed on her elbows. She's topless, wearing only blue bikini bottoms, on the bed of her hotel bed in London. At least, according to the previous photo dump that she posted on July 21, in which Britney shared five topless or nude posts in the span of about thirty minutes.

Although Britney wrote that she reposts things because she just "feels like it," her followers are convinced that it's not really her posting.

"They are thinking that you need help," one follower wrote. "oh yea and this is not really her posting this stuff ?." However, after this post, three more posts followed it.

In her last caption, Britney wrote, "TRUTH MATTERS !!! That’s a joke ? … What are the wise birdies ? thinking about today ? ???" In this caption, she wrote, "Don’t y’all just like jokes ???"

"Blink once if you're not okay," one fan commented.

"Do you make money on this nonsense?" another asked. One user had brought up in a previous post that Britney is probably trying to make money by sharing old content, but some fans aren't so sure.

“Me dancing and playing last night ??? !!!” she wrote in the caption. “It was late so not sure what that light is about ??? !!! Psss I know I’m kind of stiff … but after long plane rides from London to Maui ✈️ … I honestly just wanted to move ??‍♀️ !!!”

However, her caption created more questions than answers. “We know this wasn’t last night!” one follower commented. “We know you’re not in London and going to Maui. Those posting this are doing a s---ty job of trying to distract and pretend to be you.”

“100% was not last night,” another user agreed. “I saw a similar video with this same outfit on @betches story about 10 months ago!”

However, another user said that it looked like the same outfit that she had on in her Instagram Story where she went to the bar, so it’s possible that it was from last night.

“Maui, London, New York and back and back home still the same shirt? ? well yeah Britney traveling thru time and space forgetting her luggage with all her clothes.. well, it explains the amount of nudes,” one follower joked. “Sorry for kidding, but somehow it’s getting more and more ridiculous.”

“The day before my wedding ??‍♀️? !!! No lie I tried my hair in 3 different styles ???? !!!! One day I will invite you guys to the new house ????? !!!” Britney captioned the last video she posted on Thursday night.

Fans are still waiting to actually see pictures of her old house, since she deleted the one she posted of her new pool in late June. One fan recommended that she make an Instagram Live so her followers can see what’s really going on. Other followers said that Britney shouldn’t have to if she doesn’t want to, while others are sure it’s the only way to prove that it’s really her.
