Selena Gomez Says Britney Spears Deserves ‘All The Happiness In The World’

Singer Britney Spears had some pretty famous guests attending her wedding to Sam Asghari.

The “Gimme More” singer had some really nice words for former Disney channel star Selena Gomez over the weekend when she shared a photo of her on Instagram, saying that she was “so happy” that the “Only Murders in the Building” actress was able to attend her wedding.

In the caption, Britney said, “She came to my wedding,” referring to Selena. Brit went on to say “the three most beautiful women in Hollywood” attended the event, also tagging Drew Barrymore and longtime friend Paris Hilton. Brit claimed she had “no idea” they would be there but was “SO HAPPY” she was.

Britney said Selena told her “I just want you to be happy” three times, but noted that her mother, Lynne Spears, does that as well. “It was so cool she was able to get to me and share her thoughts,” Britney said, although it’s not clear if she’s referring to her mother or Selena. Britney goes on to say, “Although I’ve been forced to see people against my will my whole life ... she was a beautiful surprise !!!”

“I appreciate ALL the mental health speeches she does for our generation,” she added, referring to Selena and her recent trip to the White House to discuss the importance of discussing mental health. She called Selena “such a special person and I had to share this picture … I thought it would make her happy ? !!!”

Britney then added a “PS” referencing her mom again, saying, “My mom was asked by the paparazzi 3 times on the street ‘How does your daughter feel about your response to her wedding’ … she said all she wanted for me was to be happy !!!”

“Mom and Selena, I’m so happy to have such a supportive family !!! God bless you,” Brit concluded. Her last comment seems a bit sarcastic, especially given her tense relationship with her mother. Last month, Britney even went as far as to shut down her Instagram account for a few days after her mother commented on one of her wedding posts. It’s not clear that’s exactly why Brit decided to shut down her page, but that’s what fans assume.

Fortunately, it’s back up and running now, and fans had nothing but positive things to say about her wedding – especially Selena and Paris!

Selena commented on the post, saying that she was “speechless,” adding, “Britney - you are so kind and have the most beautiful soul. I am beyond lucky to know you. You deserve all the happiness in the world! ?”

Paris Hilton also commented on the post, writing, “Love you so much sis! ? You deserve the world?”

Plenty of fans also jumped in on the post to show their support for Britney Spears. One fan wrote, “I love these queens so much.”

Some fans said that they didn’t understand what Britney was trying to say. One fan interpreted Britney’s message to mean: “Britney is saying Selena genuinely wants her to be happy while her own mother calls paparazzi so she can say “I want her to be happy” and act like she is a good mother.”

However, another fan thought that it’s possible that Britney is working on mending her relationship with her mother.

“Maybe she's mending her relationship with her mom. And there is nothing wrong with that,” they wrote. “Britney is a strong, smart, grown woman and she knows to be cautious now. I wish her all the best if this is the case. I would rather she have her mother in her life and have a renewed and healthy relationship than not.”

However, a lot of fans were focused on the friendship between Britney and Selena. “Collab with her please,” one fan commented.
