Chris Hemsworth Reveals His Favorite Superhero, And It's Not Thor!
By Rima Pundir on July 17, 2022 at 7:00 PM EDT
Chris Hemsworth is on a roll these days, with "Thor: Love & Thunder" crossing all expectations at the Box Office, and with the critics. Given that this character has given him so much fame, you'd think Thor would be his favorite superhero. But Nah, Hemsworth does not do things the conventional way. Hence proven by his bulging muscles for Thor that his wife Elsa Pataky found to be too much!
So who is Hemsworth's favorite superhero, and are they even in the MCU? Scroll down to learn more.
Chris Hemsworth Reveals 'Generous' Co-Star
Hemsworth has worked with the best of the best and seems to get along with just about everyone from the MCU. Press events and other MCU-related movie appearances show him having an easy camaraderie with Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johannson, and even Chris Pratt, who has a special appearance in Hemsworth's latest Thor movie.
Pratt recently posted a sweet message on his Instagram as well, alongside a photo of him and Hemsworth, in costume as the Starlord and Thor, writing, "Nobody on Earth is more right for Thor than this man. What a stud. What a star. What a movie!!! Forever grateful."

Hemsworth also commented, "Love you mate! Always epic sharing the stage with you!"
So is Chris Pratt the guy Hemsworth finds generous? Well, not exactly, now.
The co-star that Pratt spoke about is Rocket, and if that makes you think of the creature from Guardians of the Galaxy, voiced by Bradley Cooper, you'd only be partially right. It is a creature, but not Cooper.
When Hemsworth said this: "Here are some BTS rehearsals with Rocket. He’s one of the most generous artists I’ve ever worked with. Although super quiet"; he meant Rocket, the pygmy marmoset.

Thor Celebrates 'Thor: Love & Thunder' Success
The fourth movie of the Thor franchise 'Thor: Love & Thunder' crossed all BO expectations in the first weekend, hammering home a $143 million debut.
This may have been slightly behind the $150 million expectations but the opening weekend returns are definitely a cause of celebration, which is why Hemsworth took to Instagram to celebrate, writing: "Massive thanks to everyone who checked out Thor: Love & Thunder over the weekend. You’ve made it the number one movie in the world right now!"

The movie started playing in 4,375 North American theaters, making it a more significant start than its predecessor, 2017’s quirky action-comedy “Thor: Ragnarok,” which opened at $123 million. “Love and Thunder” made the third-biggest opening weekend of the year behind “Jurassic World Dominion” ($145 million) and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” ($185 million).
There were many who call it the best Thor movie yet, with comments like:
"I watched it on an opening day! Soooooo funny and emotional!! And I'll go again this weekend with some friends!! More love, More Thunder!!! Congrats for such a rollercoaster of a movie with all the perfect ingredients!!"
"Best movie ever!!!!! We LOVED every minute of it!!! And that booty 😍😂"
The booty, of course, refers to the scene where Zeus, played by Russell Crowe, "flicks" too hard, leaving Hemsworth naked, for his fans' enjoyment.
Not all fans were a fan of the movie though, and the second-weekend results are a tad disappointing. Comments like these made it clear that 'woke' MCU movies are not everyone's cup of Joe.
"Just saw it, waste of money so disappointed in this “wokeness” film! Awful!"
"The movie was a bit of disappointment 😭 hopefully the next one will be better :) ♥️"
So is that the reason why Thor, is not Hemsworth's favorite superhero?
Who Is Chris Hemsworth's Favorite Superhero?
Given that Hemsworth is Thor, a key part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, his favorite superhero has to be from the MCU. But instead of it being Thor, or even the new Thor aka Jane Foster (played by Natalie Portman), its Thunder, as in the little girl with God-like powers, in the latest movie.
And who is Thunder? None other than Hemsworth's 10-year-old daughter, India Rose, who plays supervillain (Christian Bale) Gorr's daughter in the movie and later becomes "niece" to Uncle Thor.
Wrote the besotted dad, posting two pictures of her, "Here are two pics of me and my daughter. One was the first time she was on set 11 years ago, the other is the most recent on 'Thor: Love and Thunder'. She’s my favorite superhero."
Well, there you have it, Hemsworth's superhero is his daughter, even if she does not want his advice, on acting. Isn't that the sweetest?
