Liam Payne Confesses He Was Drunk When He Started Justin Bieber Feud

Mariah Carey versus Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, Tupac and Biggie. When you think of these music icons, you also think of their popular feuds with each other that have either ended or continue to this day. All have been met with various degrees of drama and surprises along the way.

But consider us not surprised when Liam Payne admitted to Logan Paul on his 'Impaulsive with Logan Paul' podcast how he had a beef with Justin Bieber, it is what Payne actually said that started it all in the first place and what he did to fix things that is the real surprise.

Payne was very open with so many topics with Logan Paul on his recent podcast that we might need to consider Paul the new Oprah Winfrey as he was able to get so much dirt out of the former One Direction star, especially on his feud with Bieber.

Payne told the whole story to Paul, and the thing to blame for it all appears to be alcohol as he mentioned, "So one night I was on Instagram Live...and like I was drunk at the time when I said it, and someone said something about Justin Bieber to me or whatever and I wasn't even meaning to offend him, I wanted to offend them, and this is where this can go wrong if you start fighting people on-line for no reasons. I was like well, I mean the only thing between me and him is I haven't been arrested. So then it started some beef thing about whatever...I'm a smooth criminal I don't get arrested for anything. And so, it started this thing, so then everybody started getting a bit like, you know you see each other at award shows and obviously we're boys in a band and you're a boy not in a band, so it makes sense that we should hate each other right?"

To say that this started a thing with their fan bases would be an understatement, as Payne admitted, "And obviously our fan bases cross generate, so it's actually as much the fans pushing this boundary as you are, so I thought you know what screw it we're at this show, the boys in my trailer are getting a bit rowdy, I don't want to see any violence man. So, I thought I'll just go, very Matthew McConaughey, I thought I'll just go and say hello to him. So, I knocked on his door and went in and had a chat with him. We started talking and it was a different place in Bieber's head at this point. He'd come through all the you know skirting around in Lamborghinis and all that stuff. He'd grown as a person. And literally, we were sitting with him and having that conversation. And I was like, Dude, he's like, I've always felt for you. I said number one. I've done all the things that you've done and I've never been caught for any of them. So that's number one."

As Payne continued his olive branch to make friends with Bieber he added, "I said number two, I said, You know what I've always really felt for you might and I think in our situation, we all suffer from the same disease. And as I said, and when I look at my boys and I turn left and right, I've got someone who's going through exactly what I've gone through. I know in your camp, you're you and there's no one like you. You can't turn around and have that shoulder and he was like, Bro, that's giving me chills. And we became friends from that day."

But if there was ever a fight between the two or between One Direction and Justin Bieber, who would win?

Paul was enamored with the potential fight as he thought it would be amazing to actually see a boy band take on a pop star but we likely will never see it now that Payne and Bieber are now friends but if a fight between the two ever happened Payne admitted who would ultimately win saying, "I think Bieber could hold his own man. I can see Bieber, like when I watch Bieber, one, he's mastered every single instrument, he was playing drums from since you know, I was not doing that. I was banging my head off stuff when I was his age, you know, crying to my mom. And then you watch him, if he picks up a hockey stick, he'll master the hockey stick. He's just one of those guys.. So, I'm not gonna say a thing, he'll probably pull out some, you know, he was on that movie with Jackie Chan, Karate Kid, he'll probably just pull some flair out and start high kicking everyone. Imagine that, Justin Bieber just round housing everyone."

Though we will never see it go down, we can certainly imagine it, and that would be quite the throw down to say the least.
