Ellen DeGeneres Makes Big Mistake While Talking To Jennifer Lawrence On 'The Ellen Show'

Ellen DeGeneres may have broken the LAW!

At least the law of friendship confidentiality with Jennifer LAWrence.

The veteran TV talk show host might’ve spilled the identity beans about the actress’ new bundle of joy.

JLaw gave birth back in February with her husband Cooke Maroney.

The actress kept a low profile throughout her pregnancy and hasn’t been seen out and about much since giving birth.

However, she made enough time in her new mom schedule to phone into “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to catch up with the comedian before her show goes off the air.

Lawrence has made multiple appearances on ‘Ellen’ throughout the show’s 19 seasons and she’s always delivered a hilarious performance.

You may recall the time she exposed her drunken alter-ego “Gail.”

Or how about the time she had to explain why she looked frightened on a red carpet because she got too drunk with the housewives on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live.”

So, it’s pretty clear JLaw doesn’t mind showing her best and worst moments on ‘Ellen.’

Despite the close friendship she and Ellen have, Lawrence could be holding some resentment toward the comedian given she accidentally revealed the gender of her newborn baby.

Ellen called Lawrence during her show on Monday, May 23.

“Jennifer told me how sad she was that the show was ending and that when she was a kid living in Kentucky, she used to sit on the toilet and pretend that I was interviewing her,” Ellen said. “So, I thought, ‘Well, I can’t end the show without doing that, so I’m gonna call her, she’s on her toilet right now. I’m going to call and interview her.”

Upon answering the phone, Lawrence joked, “Years and years spent on the toilet,” in reference to her waiting to be interviewed by Ellen.

The talk show host congratulated Lawrence on her marriage and birth, and explained how talking to her while she was at home was a “full circle moment.”

“People don’t know this, but I used to live in the house that you live in now when I started the show 20 years ago,” Ellen said to Lawrence. “Now I live next door to you, and I’m looking at you living in my house with a brand-new baby when I started the show 20 years ago.”

Okay, no harm no foul… yet.

Ellen then continued to say, “By the way, I do hear you sometimes talking to him, and it’s really cute. I can hear you go, ‘I know and then…’ it’s so sweet.”

It’s apparent by Ellen’s use of ‘him,’ that JLaw gave birth to a baby boy.

Luckily, the actress didn’t seem too caught off guard about her friend’s use of ‘him’ while talking on the phone and simply replied, “Awww.”

This marks Ellen’s last full week of hosting “The Ellen DeGeneres show.”

The Blast previously reported her show will come to an end on May 26th after 19 seasons.

Ellen has reportedly been very emotional in the weeks leading up to her final show and farewell.

A source recently revealed to Page Six on May 14, “Ellen’s been crying a lot. The whole few weeks leading up to the finale were very emotional.”

Ellen’s reportedly skipping having a massive celebration for the finale.

Another TV insider added, “She wanted to go out quietly. It was friends and family of the cast and crew in the audience.”
