New details have surfaced about how Kim Kardashian's opening monologue during her "Saturday Night Live" debut affected those around her, especially her estranged husband, Kanye West.
As you might know, Kim spared no mercy during her monologue as she roasted all her family members, but it seems her ex-spouse wasn't a good sport about the things said about him and their divorce.
Kim Kardashian Talked About Her Divorce From Kanye West In Opening Monologue
The "KUWTK" alum began her opening monologue on the big night, taking a shot at herself and her infamous sex tape.
Kim quipped that she was surprised to see herself on stage, explaining that when she was approached with the gig she told them she hadn't had a movie premiere in a long time.
Taking back her words, she joked, "I mean, actually, I only had that one movie come out and no one told me it was even premiering. It must have slipped my mom’s mind."
She tackled her sisters and even her mother's boyfriend, Corey Gamble, calling him a gold digger. Then touching on the heated topic of her split from the "Donda" rapper, the entrepreneur said, "I married the best rapper of all time not only that he's the richest black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids."
She continued, " So when I divorced him, you had to know it came down to just one thing, his personality." Kim also joked about his political ambition when she claimed she wanted to run but didn't want a family of "three failed politicians."
Per reports, at the time of the "SNL" debut, Kim and Kanye were on good terms with the Yeezy founder helping her with rehearsals.
He reportedly showed full support for the mother of his kids, sitting front-and-center, with sources claiming they "kept waving and making eyes at each other." However, it seems that wasn't the case in new details.
The Yeezy Founder Didn't Like Being Called A Rapper
In this week's episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians," Kim told her side of the story, claiming Kanye walked out during her set because he was offended by the joke she told about their divorce and referring to him as a "rapper."
While speaking to sister Khloe Kardashian during the episode, the KKW Beauty founder confessed, "He walked out on ‘SNL’ like mid-monologue, so I haven’t talked to him since."

She recalled, "He’s upset over the fact that I said the reason I divorced him – used the word ‘divorced’ – he wished I’d said the word ‘filed for divorce," before adding, "And he’s upset that I also used the word ‘rapper.’ He said, ‘I’m so much more than a rapper. I can’t believe you said rapper.’"
Kim explained that she was angry that her now-estranged partner left in the middle of her set given how she had been there for him while he gave speeches of his own.
"I’ve sat there through so many speeches that have not been the most comfortable for me, but that was my partner and I stood by him," Kim lamented. " I would never embarrass him and walk out and leave."
The mother-of-four complained that the "Praise God" rapper was so used to having his way, but she was done accepting that as the status quo.
During a confessional in the episode, the 41-year-old clarified that it wasn't her intention to hurt her ex-husband. She explained, "I never want to offend anyone and I never want to hurt anyone, but also that’s what this monologue was for; it was to make a joke."
The SKIMS founder also mentioned that Kanye's behavior was an eye-opening moment for her as told herself it was time to focus on herself and "get a new energy."
It is unsure what negative impact the "SNL" monologue had on the couple's relationship, but it is worthy to note that shortly after her relationship with Pete Davidson began.
Also, soon after a brutal social media war between the former couple took place.
