The couple’s marriage was blessed with four kids: Natalia Diamante, Gianna’ Gigi’ Maria-Onore, Bianka Bella, and Capri Kobe.
Unfortunately, in January 2020, Kobe and Gigi were involved in a tragic accident that cost them their lives. Vanessa took to Instagram to announce a continued partnership with Nike in honor of their fond memory.
Vanessa Bryant Is Grateful For Nike Partnership And Supportive Fans
Nike and the public figure recently established a continuous collaboration that will provide fans worldwide access to Kobe and Gigi Nike products for years to come.
Vanessa posted a photo of the Nike logo with the Bryant insignia; both were white and featured on a black background.
She was pretty excited to share the news as she was proud that her late husband’s shoes were still the most worn by NBA players on the court. Hence, the worldwide increase in demand for footwear.
The total yearly earnings from Gigi’s shoe partnership and sales will go to the Bryant’s Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
The philanthropist further expressed gratitude for the collaboration, which will bring forth the creation of a youth basketball center in Southern California.
The establishment will share the “Mamba Mentality” with youth athletes for generations to come. Vanessa concluded her message with:
“I know this is an inspiring moment for my husband and daughter’s global fans, and I am very appreciative of each and every one of you! With gratitude for every fan around the world supporting Kobe and Gigi’s legacy, Vanessa Bryant.”
Thousands of supporters quickly reacted to the post within minutes of its upload, and they expressed pride in the widow’s work.
Founder of Lil’ Libros, Patty Rodriguez, admired the former model’s strength and resilience while calling her incredible. On the other hand, Kelly Rowland wrote in the comments, “BOSS!!!! Legacy!! Great job V!!”
This will not be the first time the bereaved wife would honor her husband’s memory as she did earlier this year, marking the second anniversary of Kobe and Gigi’s passing.
As The Blast shared in January, Vanessa recalled her deceased partner’s impressive match with the Los Angeles Lakers, which ended with a remarkable 122 points. Kobe reportedly scored 66% of the points.
She also posted a 2006 throwback photo of herself with the basketball player whereby he kissed her in the shot. Around the same period, Kobe scored an outstanding 81 points against the Toronto Raptors.
The whooping 81 points gained the talented sportsman a second place after Wilt Chamberlain to get the highest score in a single basketball game. Chamberlain scored 100 points in 1962.
In honor of the athlete’s posthumous 43rd birthday, Vanessa shared a photo of the couple having a steamy kiss after an NBA game with the Larry O’Brien Championship trophy in the spotlight.
She wrote beneath the image, “Happy birthday, Papi. Te Amo por siempre. Amor Eterno.” The words were an expression of her eternal love for her late lover.
