Kanye West isn't taking any chances when it comes to seeing his children, hiring one of the top attorneys in the country to handle his divorce from Kim Kardashian.
According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the 'Donda' rapper brought in Samantha Spector to represent him in the ongoing divorce matter, which signifies he is not willing to gamble on the custody of his children.

The legal move comes amid a push by the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star to escalate the "status" of the couple's divorce -- and legally become single, regardless of whether the property or custody issues have been settled.
As we reported, Kanye has been very vocal about his issues with Kim K. and having access to his four kids. The issues started after Kim referred to herself as the "main provider and caregiver" to the children, sparking West to level a quick response. "What do you mean by the main provider?" Kanye wrote.
He continued, "America saw you try to kidnap my daughter on her birthday by not providing the address. You put security on me inside of the house to play with my son then accused me of stealing I had to take a drug test after Chicago’s party cause you accused me of being on drugs."
Kanye West Hires Samantha Spector To Fight Kim K. In Divorce
It appears Kanye is having a major issue with Kim K. allegedly not allowing him full access to the children. So, in steps Samantha Spector. The powerful celebrity divorce lawyer has represented some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, including Amber Heard against Johnny Depp, and Dr. Dre'sex-wife Nicole Young. In both cases, she navigated nasty allegations of abuse and complex financial issues over multi-million dollar fortunes.
Kanye's decision came on the heels of Kardashian filing legal documents claiming his Instagram posts are causing her "emotional distress." In the filing, Kim is asking for a judge to order the marriage over, while the former couple works out the rest of their issues. "I very much desire to be divorced," the 'Skims' founder wrote in the documents.
She continued, "Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private matters and co-parenting on social media, which has created emotional distress."
It should be noted, California's family law courts are known for ordering 50/50 custody in most divorce cases, where no other issues are present. Plus, it will be very difficult for Kardashian to try and dictate when and where Kanye can see his kids. Most likely, the former couple will agree on a schedule, or a judge will make one for them. Either way, Kim will not be able to control the situation, as Kanye alleges, with her security or legal team. If it continues down that road, prepare for a legal showdown!
Again, this is exactly why you hire the top lawyers in the world to handle the situation for you!
Kim and Kanye are due in a Los Angeles courtroom on Wednesday to discuss the "status" situation. It doesn't appear there will be any issues moving forward on this issue with the parties, including reinstating the reality star's name back to "Kim Kardashian" from "Kim Kardashian West."
Stay Tuned...
