Johnny Depp is breaking his silence after the massive loss in his domestic violence defamation case involving Amber Heard and says he has been dropped from 'Fantastic Beasts' as a result of the shocking decision.

The 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' star shared a typed out letter on Instagram, in which he addressed the recent set back in the legal cases against his ex-wife Amber Heard, and a newspaper that labeled him a "wife-beater." In the letter, Depp thanks all of his fans for their loyal support, but informs everyone he was asked to "resign" from the movie by Warner Bros.

"In light of recent events, I would like to make the following short statement. Firstly, I'd like to thank everybody who has gifted me with their support and loyalty," Depp wrote.

He continued, "I have been humbled and moved by your many messages of love and concern, particularly over the last few days. Secondly, I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request."

But, it appears Depp is not giving up convincing the public and the courts that he is innocent of the allegations.

"Finally, I wish to say this," he continued.

"The surreal judgment of the court in the U.K. will not change my fight, to tell the truth and I confirm that I plan to appeal. My resolve remains strong and I intend to prove that the allegations against me are false. My life and career will not be defined by this moment in time. Thank you for reading," Depp concluded.

As you know, Depp is still fighting ex-wife Amber Heard in a Virgina court over the same allegations, after she published an op-ed piece that he believes labeled him as the perpetrator of domestic violence.

"We love you, Johnny, you deserve so much more. Thank you for everything! We’ll always support you ❤️," one person reacted to the letter.

"This isn’t fair. you’re innocent. we love and support you so much❤️," another said.

As we reported, the letter comes on the heels of a British court ruling there was "substantial" evidence to label the 'Pirates' star a 'wife-beater.' The shocking decision followed weeks of brutal testimony where each accused the other of violent acts and drug abuse that made international headlines.

Depp's lawyers confirmed the actor would be appealing the decision, saying, “This decision is as perverse as it is bewildering.” Adding, "The judgment is so flawed that it would be ridiculous for Mr. Depp not to appeal this decision."
