Wendy Williams is handing over the reins of “The Wendy Williams Show” to Sherri Shepherd come September.
The new show will be simply titled, “Sherri,” and will be hosted by the comedian and former 'View' co-host.
“The Wendy Williams Show” will continue under Wendy’s name until June, and a new list of guest hosts has just been released.
We’ve learned ‘TWWS’ will have an all-star line-up of guest hosts this month.

A press release, obtained by The Blast, notes that Kym Whitley and Finesse Mitchell will kick off the month of March with hosting duties.
Whitley and Mitchell will head up the show from Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 11.
The comedian and the actor will give their hilarious perspectives on the latest pop culture stories of the day.
Then, Monday, March 14 through Friday, March 18, the hip-hop icons Fat Joe and Remy Ma return to give their juiciest takes on the hottest stories.
The latter part of the month will see actress, comedian, Emmy Award-winner, and newly announced host of her own talk show, Shepherd, give the audience her entertaining and unique opinions on all the stories that matter.
Shepherd will appear on ‘TWWS’ from Monday, March 21 through Friday, March 25.
Sherri Shepherd Will Guest Host In March Before Launching 'Sherri'
TV personality and former “Queer Eye” star, Carson Kressley, and actress Vivica A. Foxdebut as guest hosts to close out the month on Monday, March 28 through Friday, April 1.
It has not been announced or revealed if Wendy will make a guest appearance on the show before Shepherd takes over.
The “How You Doin’” icon had to step away from her wildly popular daytime talk-show due health concerns.
The Blast previously reported on Wendy’s declining health.
Last year, she suffered severe difficulties resulting from Graves’ disease and thyroid disorder.
Williams is unavailable to go on with the show because of her recovery process.
In the event Williams does make a full recovery, or enough of a recovery to return to TV, Debmar-Mercury has said they will welcome her back with open arms.
Debmar-Mercury is the media company that launched “The Wendy Williams Show” in 2008.
Last December, The Blast reported that Shepherd hosted an episode of “The Wendy Williams Show” earlier in November and her performance gained a 13% increase in the ratings.
Sherri's 2021 Guest Appearance Led To A Spike In Ratings
The increase in ratings made the show eligible enough to be compared to high-ranking shows like “Kelly Clarkson Show” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
David Perler, the show’s executive producer, remarked on the TV show host’s performance, saying she was the perfect host for the show.
He further stated that Shepherd was good with engaging the viewers with relatable talks and unique opinions on the hottest topics. The team was also excited about her performance and anticipated more from her.
Shepherd and Williams are both skilled hosts, but with the health condition of the broadcaster, she will not be returning as the host of “The Wendy Williams Show.”
