Arnold Schwarzenegger, Salma Hayek Disappoint Super Bowl Fans: 'Where's The Movie?'

Salma Hayek and Arnold Schwarzenegger are now "mom and dad" for thousands of Instagram fans who cannot get over their electrifying chemistry. Although to be fair, the "electric" bit is deliberately overdone considering the ad is for BMW Electric, debuting in the Super Bowl.

In it, Schwarzenegger plays Zeus and looks rather arresting with a silver hairdo and a curly beard, while Hayek makes for an alluring Hera. To be honest, our hearts are set on little "Peggy", so scroll down to know more about who Peggy is, and why fans want the couple to make a movie.

So yeah, the Terminator may not be back, but Schwarzenegger certainly is, rocking a gold toga with muscly arms and a silver beard that could rival Santa's. That said, instead of Santa's cherubic twinkle, Zeus here has a dangerous gleam about not just him, but crackling around his whole body.

For he's not just the Greek god of lightning, he's the God of Gods.

As one fan said, "Once Hercules. Now Zeus".

The full ad for the BMW Electric will release at the SuperBowl on February 13th, but we have plenty of teasers to live by, till then.

As Schwarzenegger posted recently, "So you can pronounce “macchiato,” but not “Zeus”???"

Fans loved his muscly, smoldering looks as one propositioned him, "Please show up like Zeus at the Arnold and I’ll show up as Aphrodite."

Meanwhile, the barista also attracted attention, as fans wonder who he was and why he was always typecast as a "nervous clerk".  As one comment rightly read, "He’s made a name for himself playing the awkward teenager."

Hayek had recently shared a picture of her as Hera, writing, "I am very excited that my first BMW USA ad is for their first-ever electric iX. Check it out on 2.13.22"

To this, an eternal Salma Hayek fan responded, "If my partner had an affair. I would understand." Frankly, looking at Salma Hayek's gorgeous curves and skin, at 55, so would we, right?

People had already started clamoring for a film with Hayek starring as Hera, considering her role as Ajak in Marvel's "Eternals" was a mere blip on the radar of the three-hour movie.

The very first comment under Schwarzenegger's Instagram posting of the teaser ad read, "I am so disappointed that this is a simple car commercial..."

And that is the crux of the matter, for fans loved their electric chemistry and humor so much, they want Hayek and Schwarzenegger to star in a whole movie, not necessarily as Zeus and Hera.

Another lamented, "I was hoping this was a trailer for a movie" while another agreed, "I thought is it a movie ? what a disappointment!"

The commercial was well made indeed. It started with Schwarzenegger and Hayek at Mt. Olympus, announcing that it was time for them to retire. When asked as to where'd they go, by Ralf Moeller's Poseidon, Zeus aims his thunderbolt, no pun intended, at Palm Springs, California, where he's shown trying to relax on a watermelon slice pool float. But people keep bugging Zeus for some charge, asking him to zap some power into their dead batteries and he's getting tired of all the interruptions.

Plus, he can't seem to work the microwave as Hera breezily helps him press the buttons, telling him it's not rocket science, as she tells him to take care of little Peggy. As in the most adorable dog-sized Pegasus we have ever seen. Somebody should merchandise that little darling.

But all that changes when Hera gives Zeus a "little treat" by bringing him the BWM All-Electric iX EV, and Zeus rolls in it, treating it like a little toy, as he zaps electric lines while going for a drive.

Hera gives a knowing smile in the end, and just for this, BMW might just have a hit on their hands considering fans feel this is the "best commercial ever".

Now if only they would turn it into a movie!
