Gigi and Bella Hadid are in mourning.

The famous sisters lost their aunt Ghada who passed away today.

Their aunt Ghada is their father, Mohamed Hadid’s, sister.

Gigi and Bella’s aunt passed away in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, January 19, after suffering a heart attack.

Her untimely and tragic death comes after coming down with COVID-19 and pneumonia, which put her in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Mohamed shared the news of his loss on social media.

He wrote, “My beautiful eldest sister passed 730 eastern United States a Palestinian born in Nazareth Palestine she and our parents were Forced out of our home in Safad she Endured the refugee life … and a world of Success. My sister may God open the Gates of Heaven wide open and give Ghada an easy entry you will be among the most beautiful Palestinians in heaven Momma wa baba Magida Maha our beloved cousin Zuhair and all the freedom fighters of Palestine 🇵🇸 to greet you. You have been a voice for peace. You left legacy @linahadid to fight for us all.”

Gigi commented, “Love you baba.”

Mohamed also wrote in his comments, “And her beloved Husband Glenn the most wonderful human ever May God give him the strength to lessen his pain. We are here for you ..”

Gigi also took to her Instagram Story and posted multiple photos of her late aunt.

She captioned one of the photos, “May our auntie Ghada Rest In Peace. I will never forget her sparkling eyes and smile 🕊.”

Bella also took to her IG Story.

On Tuesday she wrote, “Please pray for our Auntie Ghada.”

Today she reposted her father’s IG post and wrote, “I was honored to know Ghada. She opened her home to me. She was always full of life and love and support. She encouraged me and lent me strength. An amazing woman. We Palestinians are lucky she was one of us.”

She signed off, “Rest In Peace to my beautiful Auntie Ghada. 😔”

It appears the Hadid’s were en route to Washington D.C. earlier today to pay their respects to Ghada.

Bella posted a picture of her father on a private jet noting they were flying to D.C. so that he could see his sister one last time.

Not only did the Hadid sisters lose their aunt, they also lost a beloved friend in the fashion community.

André Leon Talley died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 18. He was a force to be reckoned with and a trailblazer in the fashion industry.

The former creative director and editor-at-large of Vogue magazine, who died of an unknown illness at 73-years-old, was beloved by many in the fashion world.

Talley was known for his blunt comments and flamboyant presence — sporting statement kaftans, robes, and hats throughout most of his career. His team announced his passing on his Instagram account.

“It is with great sadness we announce the passing of André Leon Talley on January 18, 2022 in New York,” the statement read.

Gigi, Bella, Kris Jenner, Andy Cohen, Diane von Fürstenberg, Marc Jacobs and more have paid their respects to Talley.

The Bravo host talked about Talley’s passing on “Watch What Happens Live.”

“I’m a little off right now because during the break, we got news that our dear friend of the clubhouse André Leon Talley has passed away,” he said. “He was just an incredible wonderful, wonderful guy. And we’re gonna miss him, and he was a great life force. So I just want to salute André Leon Talley, rest in peace.”

Gigi wrote, “Andre, the Great. I am honored to have had some handsome moments with you and experienced your spirit. Thank you for the world of inspiration you’ve left us, and for all the people you championed that have shaped this industry. Rest in power.”
