Kanye West's journey to fame will be released in a three-week documentary series on Netflix!
The iconic rapper, who now goes by "Ye," has dominated the music industry for over a decade. However, the genius artist didn't get to the number one spot without facing various trials.
VULTURE reported that fans would get to see the beloved "Gold Digger" singer's backstory in "jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy," which hits the streaming platform on February 16.
"jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy" Took Decades To Make
Last year, Netflix bought Ye's documentary, which contained decades' worth of footage, including unreleased clips about Clarence "Coodie" Simmons and Chike Ozah, the collaborators who worked with the rapper at the start of his career.
In a statement released by the streaming giants, the project was described as "an intimate and revealing portrait of Kanye West's experiences," featuring both his past and present selves.
On January 23, "jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy" would premiere at the virtual Sundance Film Festival before "Act 1 (Vision)," the first installment of the docuseries, became available in national movie theaters only on February 10.
In anticipation of the upcoming documentary, an official teaser was dropped on YouTube, in which the opening scene captured a young Ye arguing with hip-hop artist Rhymefest.
The "POWER" rapper stated that he felt disrespected because Fest didn't believe he was a genius. In response, Rhymefest asked, "But who are you to call yourself a genius?"
No reply was given as the clip cut to other scenes showcasing various moments in the 44-year-old's life — from work to personal experiences.
This footage included the father-of-four working with artists like Pharrell and Jay-Z, the tragic car accident that caused his jaw to be wired shut, his time at the YEEZY show with Kid Cudi, and more.
The 22-Time Grammy Winner Has Big Plans For The Fashion Industry
The Blast revealed that the GOOD Music record label founder surprised fans on Instagram with a special fashion collaboration earlier this month.
Ye shared a screenshot of a contract between his fashion brand Yeezy, Balenciaga SAS, and The Gap, some of the industry's biggest labels.
The "Runaway" rapper teased fans about the collaborative project by giving zero clues about his plans. Nonetheless, people were excited for what they believed could be the next big thing in fashion.
This post marked the first time the best-selling artist has shared anything on Instagram after clearing his page in honor of Virgil Abloh's death.
The DONDA Founder Has A New Woman In His Life
The "Praise God" artist is starting the new year with a gorgeous woman by his side as The Blast previously shared that the actress Julia Fox couldn't get enough of Ye.
During an interview, the 31-year-old entertainer gushed about her love for the rapper and how she became infatuated with him after the pair met on New Year's Eve.
Regarding their "instant connection," the "Uncut Gems" star revealed that the Grammy winner's fun personality made it easier to be around him.
The couple's relationship continues to blossom as they were spotted at a Broadway play before enjoying a romantic dinner at Carbone in New York City.
