Celebrities go on dates and get into relationships all the time, but sometimes there's just not enough chemistry to make it work. This was the case of Nia Long and Chris Rock when the famous actors ended up on a blind date with each other.

Long is known for her appearance in movies like "Are We There Yet?" "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," the "Big Momma's House" movies, and others. On the other hand, Rock majors as both an actor and a comedian. He acted in the "Grown Ups" movies, "Death At a Funeral," "Everybody Hates Chris," and many more.

The two actors have seemingly put the bad date behind them and are friends now, but they revealed that they couldn't stand each other during the date. Long spilled all the tea about the date which happened in the early '90s and how it was the worst date ever for her.

What Went Wrong During Their Date

Long was and still is a beautiful woman, so it's no surprise that many men were vying for her attention at that time. The actress recalled how men showed their interest by displaying several grand gestures.

She told TV One TV, "Dudes sending flowers, diamonds. My doorbell rings at 4 o clock in the morning, and there's this beautiful box of diamond rings that were brought in on a private jet and delivered in the middle of the night. All that was so overwhelming for me."

Rock wasn't left out of it and played his hand to capture the actress's heart. "I remember Chris Rock and I were set up on a blind date. He was on Saturday Night Live. He picked me up. We went out. We hated each other," Long recalled. "I was like, 'This dude is not even that f**** funny. And he's the only dude that has ever given me a false number."

Why Rock Gave Long A Wrong Number

On The Wendy Williams Show, the two appeared and talked about the date. Long also mentioned how she eventually found out that the number was fake when she tried to call him. Rock, on his part, admitted that the move was intentional. He said, "Yes, I did it purposely. She was kind of obnoxious."

Long argued that she wasn't, but Rock was adamant. According to him, he decided to stop chasing her when she made one comment. He revealed, "So, at some point in the day, I go, 'Are you seeing anybody?' And she says, 'No, but I know where I need to get some d*** if I need it.'" The response killed off his romantic interest In the actress, but they remained friends.

Long Dated With Chris Tucker

Besides Rock, the "Fatal Affair" actor dated another Chris in the movie industry. Long said she went out on a date with Chris Tucker and made a funny comment about his car.

In a later interview with AV Club, the actress talked about how Tucker got even with her for the comment when they went on a date years later. "I bought myself a BMW. It was so cute. I was shooting "Friday" at the time, and Chris Tucker and I saw each other on the freeway, on the way to the set," she said.

Long continued, "He had a busted window with a pizza box over it because he couldn't afford to fix the window! We get to work, and he goes, 'When I grow up, I want to be just like you.'"

She also revealed that things obviously changed for Tucker, and they went on another date years later. Long recalled, "Cut to—all the money he made. Two years ago, we go out to dinner, and he picked me up in—ready?—a Phantom Rolls-Royce, which—I couldn't even figure out how to get the damn car door opened. I said to him: 'Oh, you want to be like me? I think the tables have turned.'"

Rock revealed that he cheated on his wife

In Rock's Netflix special, "Chris Rock: Tambourine," he talked about many interesting topics, one of which was his split with his wife. The comedian admitted that he cheated on his previous wife multiple times and that it changed the dynamic of his marriage.

According to E News, he said, "It's f**ked up. When guys cheat, it's like we want something new. But then you know what happens? Your woman finds out, and she's new. She is never the same again. So now you have new, but you have a bad new."
