The “Atomic Blonde” star, Charlize Theron, shared her first new year post on Instagram. It was a slide of two adorable photos.
The first slide was of herself cuddling her six-year-old daughter, August. They were both snuggled in with a colorful blanket and relishing the comfort of each other’s company.
Theron was leaning on the headboard while August was tucked in close to her mom’s bosom, with her face partially hidden by an eye mask massager.
The second slide was a picture of Theron’s four dogs posing in front of a fireplace; three were facing the camera while the fourth was distracted. Theron accompanied the post with the caption that read:
“New year, same energy. C’mon 2022, don’t be a b*tch!”
The post has gained over 350,000 likes and quite an amount of complimentary comments from both the famous and non-famous.

Charlize Theron’s Kids Think Their Mom Is Cool
In 2021, during the casting of “The Addams Family 2”, Theron’s kids were asked what character they would like their mom to be between Morticia Adams or any other Hollywood icon.
As reported by The Blast at the time, the kids chose Morticia Adams, and of course, Theron was the voice of that character. Her kids were pretty happy with her getting the role.
Jackson, 9 and August, 6 were adopted by Theron in 2012 and 2015, respectively. They both described their mom as cool due to her getting the Morticia Adams’ role, which made Theron proud.
The mother-of-two revealed that she could relate to the fictional family’s values as she always made sure her kids knew the importance of family.
Theron also hoped the movie would be relatable to families, and after seeing the film, they would view things differently regarding showing kindness to others who aren’t family.
In 2019, The Blast made a report about Theron’s rare post of her kids while they were on vacation.
This was pretty unusual of the 46-year-old as she’s the type that doesn’t fancy her family being in the spotlight. She’s always protective of them.
Jackson was putting on a red dress in the post, picking an apple, and her face was slightly hidden from view.
As usual, she obscured her kids’ faces in pictures; the customary anonymity Theron uses when making posts of her kids.
The Influential Actress Uses Her Social Media For Good Causes
During the early periods of the pandemic, Theron made a post on her Instagram about wearing a mask. This was reported at the time by the news outlet.
The post was a black and white photo of the award-winning producer wearing a mask. The caption read, “don’t be an ass, #WearADamnMask.”
Though the post had several thousand likes, this got many controversial comments from both supporters and non-supporters.
Nevertheless, Theron continued to use her platforms to make bold statements about several other causes, including women’s empowerment and HIV enlightenment, among others.
