Meek Mill has been giving back to local communities for years now, especially in his hometown of Philadelphia. The latest gesture comes for Christmas as he's been giving gifts to a myriad of families in Philly, according to TMZ.
Meek's Dream Chasers record label has been sending gifts all over the city but for one family, the reactions of them were captured and they were absolutely priceless. This was by the Morse family as they received some of the hottest items currently out.
Meek ended up giving this family the new Xbox Series X, apparel from Puma (He has an endorsement deal with the brand) iPads, and a myriad of other items. The father of the home is Anthony Morse as he fosters five children and also has his own as well.
Meek went on to video call the family as all Morse did was express how thankful he was for Meek making this Christmas special for them.
In addition to this huge impact made on Philly families, Meek also made other moves in the city. Earlier this month, he and Philadelphia 76ers Co-owner, Michael Rubin, started a $2 million scholarship fund for students, per TMZ.
This was done to help students who are underprivileged when it comes to academics. This will help 1,000 students from K-12. These funds will help them be able to attend either private or parochial schools as the costs will be handled by Meek and Rubin. For e-learning, items can be purchased such as laptops and tablets.
Fans were waiting for Meek to put out a project of songs as well and he delivered in November. This was the "Quarantine Pack" EP which contained four tracks. Appearances included Lil Durk and his new artist, Vory. The highly anticipated record was "Pain Away" feat. Durk.
Drake even plead to Meek publicly on Instagram for him to put this out ASAP. Meek's last studio album was "Championships" in December 2018 which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and is platinum in the US.
Meek and Milan Harris had also been dating since 2019 as they seemed happy together. The two went on to have a child in May, as it was Meek's birthday as well. The two ended up breaking up in the summer.
Meek announced the split first on Instagram as he caught heat for it. He went on to say that he is simply on co-parenting. He has two children overall. Meek's last highly publicized relationship was with Nicki Minaj, which also ended sourly.
