“The Golden Girls” aired on NBC from 1985-1992 and was very progressive for its time.

The timeless comedy which starred Betty White, Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty, will be brought back to life in the biggest way possible.

The ladies of Miami will be getting their very own fan convention. The first of its kind.

The 2022 convention will be called “Golden-Con” and will go down April 22 through April 24.

Golden-Con will take place in Chicago, IL in the city’s Northalsted district where the LGBTQ+ community facility Center on Halsted will host a series of events.

The events include but are not limited to, a vendor’s market, live parody shows, a costume parade, and trivia.

Event organizers promise to have appearances by “guest stars, producers, and others directly connected to the show.”

The only living core cast member is Betty White, who will turn 100 in January.

It’s unclear if Betty will make an appearance.
