This year's Diwali festival was a spectacular Hollywood experience as several celebrities, and renowned politicians went all out for the Indian holiday.

The famous festival of lights is typically celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and other religions for five days. However, in the past centuries, Diwali has become a tradition for non-Hindu communities.

The event, which symbolized the spiritual triumph of light over darkness, was proudly celebrated by icons such as Priyanka Chopra, Joe Jonas, Mindy Kaling, and U.S. Vice president Kamala Harris.

How The Indian Goddess Of Hollywood Marked Diwali

Diwali is a famous Indian festival used to commemorate the victory of good over evil, and it is usually celebrated with the use of oil lamps and colorful decorations.

Such stunning Diwali adornments were captured in a series of Instagram pictures shared by Chopra.

The Bollywood-Hollywood star marked the festival with her adoring husband, Nick Jonas, and their loved ones.

The "Quantico" star wore a yellow sari while her man was dressed in a white ensemble intricately designed with colorful patterns. The post was partly captioned in Hindu, followed by the words:

 "With the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi, we invite Her grace and abundance into our home. Happy Diwali."

Kamala Harris' niece, Meena, marked the occasion with a sweet Tiktok video of her transforming into the gold outfit for the Diwali dinner party she hosted with Mindy Kaling.

Pictures for the amazing star-studded event were shared on "The Mindy Project" star's Instagram. The 42-year-old actress was ecstatic about the soiree as she had never experienced the Indian festival in LA. In her words:

"This couldn't have happened when I first moved to LA over a decade ago, but now we are HERE! Next year will be even bigger."

How Other Stars Enjoyed The Festival Of Lights 

As reported by PEOPLE, the Diwali dinner hosted by Kaling was sponsored by the two companies that belonged to the actress's friends —  Meena for Phenomenal and Deepica Mutyala for Tinted.

The grand event was graced by several Indian celebrities, including Chopra, Liza Koshy, Lilly Singh, and Payal Kadakia Pujji. All the attendees were the highlight of the festivities with their gorgeous attires.

These beautiful women weren't the only people celebrating in America as President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden commemorated the occasion with a special Diwali shout-out on Instagram.

The White House was decorated with stunning flowers, candles, and lamps, with the Bidens at the center of it all as they posed for the camera. This beautiful post was partly captioned:

"To Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists celebrating in America and around the world — from the People's House to yours, Happy Diwali."

The Vice President wasn't outdone as she celebrated her Indian roots with a formal video on Instagram. The 57-year-old stated that the holiday helped the nation remember "its sacred values" during the ongoing pandemic.

These values included the love for one's family, the desire to help those in need, and the ability to choose good over evil. The "Smart On Crime" author concluded her message by imploring viewers to "honor the light within one another."
